They've been so shitty the past few years. It just seems like they are due to make a move. Seems like they have a few decent young players. If they make a splash in Free Agency, you never know....
I was thinking it's also similar to the AFC North. You have a team who's been pretty dominant in the Division (Pats : Steelers). Then there are two other teams that are competitive enough to beat up on each other and possibly win the Division (Jets,Dolphins : Ravens,Bengals). Then there's a team who has it's problems (Bills : Browns), although I think the Bills are much better and tougher than the Browns. Should be very entertaining and nerve-wracking.
Its good to see the AFCE back to relevancy again after years of being the Patriots and 3 other teams. It wasn't that long ago that Indy was also part of the AFCE. Imagine if that was still the case.. Regardless, we might have both the Pats and the Fish to thank. The Pats set the bar pretty high and we can just about reach it now. The Fish have been on our ass for years and provides enough push for us not to stand pat and become complacent with 8-8. Parcells made the Fish better and the effect was that it made us better too. The Patriots provided incentive and just enough annoyance for us to strive to beat them even if we didn't beat anybody else of note. Its a new day in the AFCE. It looks alot like the days when the AFCE was the toughest division in football. Cya in 2010 !
