Ricky is a talented player, but he's not what he was in 03 and he's far from the most talnted Dolphin.
Personally, I'd like to borrow your crystal ball if I may, Feelthepain, just 'til Tuesday, because I'd really like to retire really early, and winning Lotto or MegaMillions would make that feasible.
screw the BLOWFISH and their fans! When they qwere losing this yo-yo had nothing to say. Now he is beating his chest! Typical bragging BLOWFISH fan!
Screw the Jets and their fans, they post like bitter little girls whnen there team doesn't stand a chance to win the division and another team does!!
That is a moronic statement since 90% of the posters on this board and in this thread readily admit that the Jets won't have a winning season or a chance to win the division this year. So how can they be bitter? Why is that if a poster, like myself, says: that there are serious health concerns with DC, that there are still questions on the lines, and that Saban is only in his second year and the HOF induction might be a little early (which are more than fair questions to ask), they are bitter and biased. But we have to take your opinion and assessment of the Phins as unbiased and more true? Why can't you take honest criticism of your own team? Or is an opinion only unbiased and worthy of honest debate when it is positive about the Phins and having them winning the SB?
I bet you just bought your computer coincidentally when the Phins started getting better, right? I mean, you had no computer access and that's why you weren't here when the Phins were in the basement, right? Or maybe you were just the typical Phin fan that only shows his neck when he thinks it's safe? The funny part about it is that Phin fans are typically so unable to tell when their team will do well and when they won't that they end up getting a neck chop anyway. You're no different. It's pretty entertaining in a sado-voyeuristic kind of way. Edit: Here, this is what a realistic post from an objective rival fan looks like. It probably will seem like an alien language to you at first, but if you stare at it long enough you might be able to glean some osmotic knowledge by chance. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=176398&postcount=21
I've been here longer than you, and just about everyone on this board in general. I've never shied away from taking my lumps when I have them coming, I'm always here to eat crow when it's my turn. Maybe I'm just not that "typical Phin fan" you speak of??.... As far as not being able to tell when our team is going to do well, how do you justify saying that when we've only had one losing season within the last 30 years???.... I think the majority of the Jets fans here have a good grip on reality when it comes to the Jets expectations in 2006. Anywhere from 3-5 wins this year would be about par for Mangini's first season. I don't expect him to turn them around the same way Saban got Miami back in the race however. He's not nearly as qualified or talented in my opinion.... He's a true rookie head coach, with zero experience, and that will cause some growing pains in the process. I think eventually, BB / Saban / and Mangini will be considered the best coaches in the AFC Conference, but right now it's only a two horse race between the Patriots and Phinz... Alittle sugar coated in my opinion.....
3-5? Are you insane? We won 4 w/ a team that had 3rd and 4th stringers playing most of the year. I know they'll be growin pains w/ a young and new staff but we'll win at least 6 games this year. We won't be a playoff team and probably won't be .500 but we should win 6-7 games.
I'm assuming the possibility of the Jets winning 5 games in 2006, you're assuming at least 6 wins. I'm insane, and yet you're in touch with reality... Typical....
you mentioned 3 wins, 3-5 says there's a possiblity of 3. We won more than 3 last year w/ half the team we'll have this year so how can you ven think 3 wins? What would I expect from someone who thinks Daunte Culpepper is great:rofl:
I wouldn't say zero experience. He was a HC in Australia for a couple years on their league down there (3 years I think, maybe one the Aussie's on here can confirm this), he won the championship I believe. He then signed on with BB. And was his right hand man from then on, and has been considered a defensive prodigy by many FOs. I do expect a lot of growing pains. But I think with the added talent, players coming back from injuries, and Mangini's understanding of X's and O's and his intelligence, 6-7 wins is reasonable.
I don't know. What would you expect???.... I would expect Miami's QB situation to be much more stable than it has been in previous years now that we have Culpepper / Harrington. Is expecting that much considered "insane" as well???....
My post was in response to this less then mature Jet Fan, Originally Posted by Kentucky Jet Like I said I'll post in response to what I read, if you don't like it then kindly have a talk with some of the fans here that post simply to invoke the reactions they themselves post. As for the rest of your post, the same post you keep posting over and over. I simply defend the reasons the fins will be succsessful this season, not one single post do I say the fins will win the SB, appear in the SB, are favorites to be SB contenders. All I've ever said was the fins have a chance to win the division thats not unrealistic nor is it a homer statement. They had a good enough season last year and offseason to warrant that opinion. You're unbelieavible, you keep trying to tell me I'm unrealistic about the Fins near future but what have I said that's unrealistic?......Nothing. Honest criticism?? You can ask the same questions about the Pats or Colts or Steelers. what do the fins have in comon with those teams?? They all had winning seasons, and ANY of those teams could have a bad season next year, there are no guarantees. No team is perfect at every position and while you try as hard as you can to find issues with the Fins, you sure as heck aren't willing to look at the other side of the coin as hard. All you want to do is say the fins have issues and nothing else. You almost seem sure DC will not return to form based on an injury, like no player in history has ever come back from injury and played at the same level. Like Edgerin James or Willis McGahee, both of which had horrible knee injuries and return to full health and they are RB and are far more depndent on the capabiblity of their knee then a QB. Then ask me why I can't take criticism!?!?!? Because all the reports point to full recovery and him being ready to participate in camp. Fact is you're just looking for reasons for failure. I think by the fact that I don't think we are good enough "yet" to be considered a SB contender tells you I think the fins still have some work to do. So what should I do, believe after the season we had last year the improvements and youth movement and having upgraded the coaching staff and Saban with a full year under his belt and adding a franchise QB, winning the division is unrealistic?? Teams go from 4-12 to 12-4 in one season so to believe the fins can improve 3 games in ones season is out of the relm of possible and a homer statement?? If the fins win just 2 more games this year then last year that would give us a realistic shot at the division!! I guess in your mind two more wins for the fins this year is just not possible.
If Chad is close to healthy than that isn't the case, the only way it is true is if Chad can't play. Chad is better than Daunte when healthy and I'd take ramsey over Harrington any day. heck I wanted Ramsey over Daunte, I know Daunte isn't a winner but I think Ramsey can be so I'd rather take the chance w/ him. You have 2 proven losers as your QBs, we have a proven winner and a guy who is unproven.
Actually what I have issue with is you keep calling people biased, bitter, etc. You say this everytime someone says remotely negative about the Phins. It does not make then biased or homers because they assess the Phins differently than you. I am just pointing out how by your posts many can consider you biased. Stop throwing the word around and I won't feel the need to post the same thing over and over again. Take a look at the regular Phin fans that post here regularly, like Blitz, and ask yourself why no one has a problem with them (well most of us ). Simply not true. I have stated many times that I think the Phins will come in second in the division, fighting with the Pats. But in the end I think the Pats will win, with the Phins just missing the playoffs. I maybe wrong, but then again so can you. I think the Phins are one good draft or offseason away from making the playoffs, just not this year. Once again, none of my posts has bashed the Phins in any way. I just take issue with you calling people biased, bitter, and the like just because you do not share their opinion, but we are to take what you say as gospel. Stop throwing statements and words like that around, and you will stop hearing from me. Until then I will keep pointing out the biased in your own posts.
Good luck with that....:lol:He hasn't been healthy since his first surgery. Chad is about one more lousy season away from being labled a bust, and being shipped out for Bollinger. Pennington is all but done in my opinion, and if he fails to regain his starting position in NY{over Ramsey}, he'll be a career back-up from here on out..... No comment needed. I think that statement above speaks for itself in terms of how lost you have become.... Ok....
