This post is a slam dunk in my opinion. It is pretty fair on both sides of the issue. Though I think with point #1, Chad staying healthy, it would not have made a big difference because we had so many other injuries in addition to his.
How can anyone forget that thread/post before the season started. People were asking for smelling salts and wondering if someone hijacked your computer. Your points are all very solid. The only thing I would slightly disagree with is whether Mangini is a better head coach already then Herm was/is. Mangini can go on to win 9 or 10 games this year then tank like the Titanic. That would never change my mind from what I have seen this year. HC job is all about preperation..something Herm will never understand. Its about changing on the fly and having different gameplans from week to week. Mangini has been up to the task beyone my wildest dreams, while Herm was as predictable and the present coach of the Kansas City Chiefs..whos name escapes me at the moment. Will Mangini be a great coach? Who knows....one thing is for certain..Herm will never be a great coach. Great post Winston and a very happy holiday to you and your family.

I also recall your post back in August, and will admit that I thought you were overoptimistic at the time (what I said then was that the most common record the year after a 4-12 season was 6-10, and since last year was SO bad in terms of injuries, and this year's schedule was so favorable, I would add one more win and say 7-9, with 8-8 only happening if everything broke exactly the right way). I think that the two points you make that should be highlighted are that (1) it's way too early to tell if Mangini is a great head coach, or even an above average one, and (2) it's way too late to argue that Herm is anything other than what he has been shown to be, a coach who is mediocre, since he seems incapable of changing the things that make him that way. Herm's greatest asset as a coach(not an interview) was his ability to motivate. So far Mangini has shown that same ability - coupled with incredible preparation, game management and in-game flexibility. Add in the fact that Mangini is willing to trust in and develop our young talent and it is a complete no-brainer who you should want steering the direction of your franchise.

this putz had Vinny Testaverde on his team and he couldnt win a Super Bowl, hence no coach did less with more!!!
herm... i still think Herms eyebrows are humongous. He hasnt changed. Each time the camara finds him on the sidelines is the classic look: head tilt, squint, mouth gaping,,, basically confused.
