He is going to play QB for the Jets tomorrow night, he will play probably about half the game. We will see very soon how he does throwing the ball at 250.

He was almost 250 lb. in college. I don't know where that exec got 230 from. I'm pretty sure when the hubbub that he was trying to gain weight gained steam, Tim said that he didn't like being 240 while he was in Denver. It's probably just what he prefers.

One of the drive time shows last year (maybe Schlereth) said he was told by Robbie Tebow that Tim was closer to 250 than 235 (which I think was what the broncos had him listed at).

I dont think many people realize that Florida won a National Championship in Tim's freshman year and guess what his role was with the Gators?

Wildcat QB behind a much better pocket passer.

Um, I think many people realize this. It's not like Tim went to some no-name school. He was highly, highly recruited out of HS and has had a lens on him ever since. That Nat'l Championship didn't exactly fly under the radar. Nor did his Heisman, or his 2nd national championship, etc.

Unless you brought that up to say this can work. In which case I agree with you.

Completely agree! If it worked in the SEC, then I'll bet dollars-to-donuts that it works in the AFC East!

It's funny... I didn't know who Tebow was when he came as a freshman to UF. I was completely behind Chris Leak. Tebow came in and scored at will, but I wondered... ok, but can he throw? Then he started as a sophomore and I was like... oh yeah... he CAN throw! Just an exciting player to watch. Even when he plays badly, you wait for the flashes of greatness.

The kid is such a nice guy, he gives equally to his haters and fans each game. :rofl2: I'll admit games like the Lions game were cringe-worthy as a Tebow fan.
