Rex should stay, but eventually hes going to need a real offensive coordinator that can open up the passing game.

They definitely need to change the front office structure or scouting staff though, thats for sure

Sanchez is a legit QB. Don't be stupid.

All your trying to do is stir some kind of Tebow reaction with this post.

I don't know how many drops were in this game but there was a ton of them. Sanchez can't do any better than throw the ball where it needs to be so his guys can make a play for this team, they didn't catch the ball. Sanchez was consistently putting the ball between the numbers, as the game went on and the drops continued to increase you could tell Sanchez was losing faith in his playmakers and became hesitant.

The WR's were not getting seperation, the offensive line started to collapse more and more as the game went on. It was an unacceptable display of technique and this is the performance that came from it on both sides of the ball.

What a bullshit game. I'm embarrassed as a fan and next week can't get here soon enough.

No, he's the best HC we've had for a while. We just need to do a shitload of tackling drills and get Holmes on the damn jugs machine for 5 hours a day......

lol, Sanchez cowers up the minute he gets hit. Fortunately the running game and the line was good enough the first couple years that he didn't get hit a lot but boy has he been exposed the last two years since the line's deteriorated.

The fools just seep out of the woodwork like filthy cockroaches when we lose. Such sensationalism everywhere. We win nicely one week, 40% of the fanbase doesn't check into TGG while the other half parties talking about destiny. The next week, it's the other extreme's 40% turn to march on the town brandishing their torches and pitchforks, masked in paper bags with shirts that either have a big 'WE SUCK' on it or 'Put in Tebow.' Get outta here man. Has anyone ever taken the wait and see approach, or is it really that much more gratifying to just be irrational?

It's okay to lose every once in a while. Look at the standings, nearly everyone is 1-1.

But if Rex is the great defensive coach he claims to be, why should the Jets need to do tackling drills?

Go watch the Cleveland game from 2010. He didn't get hit much? He played like he usually does today. Inconsistent, dropped balls, no big plays. Part of it was him missing, the other part drops, the other part was the Steelers secondary beating up our WRs.

    What are you talking about?

Sanchez has had many games where he has played up to standard and there has been games that he has played well enough to win even though things were not going his way.

Any QB is going to play down to their potential when they have constant pressure in there face, I don't care who the QB is. So I don't thing he has "become exposed", I think the only person that is being exposed for not fixing an offensive line on the decline is Mr.T. What moves were made to fix this problem?

That is the problem, it's obvious, yet somehow you still want to associate Sanchez as the problem because the offensive line can't give him proper protection in the pocket. So that is his fault? He's a bad QB because of that? Am I understanding you correctly?

It makes no sense to me. Whatever though, let's blame Sanchez for things he can't control. Sounds like a plan to me..

The offensive line played decent today. Sanchez sailed quite a few throws but there were also drops. It was a constant all around failure in the passing game. Sanchez isn't above blame here

If you think that Tebow is anything approaching a legit QB, you have had more head injuries than the dead brain of Junior Seau.

I'm not trying to say that Sanchez was perfect. Not at all, my point is that there are people that only want to blame Sanchez and I'm tired of seeing people blame him for things he just can't control.

All in all he played a good game. Again, how many dropped passes were in this game? How many routes were ran wrong in this game?

He was putting balls in the hands of his playmakers, right in between the numbers, but they kept dropping the ball. Constantly dropping the ball.

I don't think he was even close to being the main problem for today's game, yeah he struggled as did all three units, but there was a lot more going on that contributed to this loss then just pinning it completely on Sanchez.

    Nope.

If worst comes to worst, Rex will get a chance at a new quarterback and GM, before his job is ever in jeapardy, IMO.

Fair point. I agree. Probably put slight more weight on Sanchez's shoulders, but there were a lot of things wrong.

Steelers just looked like a better team

They most certainly did. Now I know how the fucking Bills felt last week after getting dominated in all three phases of the game, which is exactly what the Steelers just did to us.

While I don't think he is terrible I must say that he has reached his limit as a HC. He hurts his team because of his lack of a common sense approach to defense. His desire to blitz on 3 and long has hurt his defense since he took over as HC and it cost us the game today.

Once pittsburgh scored to make it 20-10 they started playing a different defense which forced MS to throw everything underneath.

If RR does not blitz and the Steelers don't make it 20-10 the game is close and we have a chance to win. Against the better teams you cannot gamble the way RR does and he has proven that he has not learned it and at this point I don't think he will.

I would agree with you except that the players messed that play up big time. They had a clean shot on Big Ben and missed (clearly Rex's fault right?) and then Cro completely whiffed on his coverage and overran it and Wallace barely got both feet in (Rex's fault for not covering Wallace?)
