    2006 Standings:
    NYJ: 10-6 (WC berth)
    NOS: 10-6 (Division win)

    2005 Standings:
    NYJ: 4-12 (Injuries?)
    NOS: 3-13 (Katrina?)

    2004 Standings:
    NYJ: 10-6 (WC)
    NOS: 8-8 (Missed playoffs)

    2006 Regular Season Statistics:
    Player Brees/Chad
    Rank 1/10
    Yds 4418/3352
    Att 554/485
    Cmp 356/313
    TDs 26/17
    Ints 11/16
    Long 86/71
    Rating 96.2/82.6

Chad took a playoff team, that hit a pothole last year, back into the playoffs. Drew took a team that wasn't good in the NFC to a division title.

Yes, Chad had an amazing comeback from two tough injuries. But you can't just discount Drew's simply because it happened at the end of the season. And if you want to diminish Brees' injury as less significant, remember Chad tore scar tissue the second time.

We can sit here and argue all day about this but I think you guys are missing my point. I'm not saying Chad SHOULDN'T win it. He is fully deserving of the award, and PROBABLY deserves it more. But to act like Brees doesn't even deserve mention, not to mention that Palmer and Rothlesberger are both lucky to be walking, much less playing, is wrong.

I'm pretty sure the people in New Orleans are firmly convinced their QB is the only one deserving of the award too.

Here's the only change I'd make...

    NYJ: 10-6 (WC berth)
    NOS: 10-6 (Division win)

    2005 Standings:
NYJ: 4-12 (Injuries? Herm's bullshit bottle ran empty)
    NOS: 3-13 (Katrina?)

    NOS: 8-8 (Missed playoffs)

I though it was comeback player of the Year , not Comeback from a playoff injury or last game of year injury player of the year.

My interpretation is therefore you needed to not play or have a very subpar season the year before to qualify

Carson Palmer had a career year and Drew Brees stats below are more than acceptable -- these two should not even be mentioned , Winslow is another story though.

I still think the award should go to Chad and not even be close.
