If you read the BGA articles that WSW usually posts each week breaking down the game you would see that they don't run the same play much at all. They look similar in real time on T.V. but they aren't the same.

I knew I wasn't the only rational human being with this thought process.

Once in a while to fool the D it's ok, you want Brad to throw on a somewhat consistent basis. brown in his career has attempted 12 passes, in the great WC year of '08 he only attempted 3 and he was 2 for 3 for 41 yds. In 2009 they doubled that and he was 2 for 6 for 22 yds. see how more passes makes it less effective?

LT has attempted 12 passes in his 10 year career.

Ranndle-El's career high was 8 passes in in his rookie year(i don't know if they were all from the WR position or if he took any snaps). he completed 7- for a total of 45 yards. He never attempted more than 4 in any other season.

for guys who don't knoe the pro game they see guys having success in college and think they can do it in the NFL.

WHO CARES what Brad did in COLLEGE? do you undersatnd we are discussing the NFL?

He's a playmaker, he's dangerous w/ the ball in his hands. he's more of a danger to his team if he is throwing more than he is now.

He's not a QB in this league is what you guys fail to realize. I agree w/ this post but he's never going to get into rythm b/c he is nevr passing more than once in a game and I doubt he's passing often in practice. IF he was a FULL TIME QB and getting practice reps and expected to pass 20-25 times a game I think he COULD have some success but to expect a guy who is a WR who barely throws the ball to throw 87-10 times a year is not fair to him. it would be a disaster if that happened.

Except my point the entire time was I didn't want Brad throwing more out of the WC. It had nothing to do w/ him starting. Going from 2-3 throws a year to 8 or so is a huge jump and would take away the tyhe surprise element of passing out of the formation and make that play less likely to succeed.

That has been the CORRECT point all along. I brought up the other guys when other posters were bringing up how great Brad was in college as if that has anything to do w/ what he is doing now.

You have been compeltely irrational asking him to throw at least 8 times a year. I have the skillset to throw a pass in the NFl but there's a reason I don't. Obviously Brad has the skillset to throw A pass, he doesn't have the skillset to throw 8-10 passes a year out of the WC.

smith can definitely throw. and I wished theyd practice it and utilize it much more. it would even keep them on their toes more and prolly open up the actual running plays out of the formation a little more.
