Hahahahaha. We're in first place. Fuck all you guys who were jumping off the bandwagon when they were 4-8. There's still tons of baseball to be played, but did I not say if they can win a few series in a row they'd be right there?
Stats can say whatever the want. As the fatass Tuna said. "you are what your record says you are" Only one 1st pace team in NY today, and that team is the Mets.
I'll enjoy it while it lasts, however, despite the stats, and current streak, the starting pitching still sucks with Ollie and Maine...........it's amazing they've won 6 in a row with those guys in the rotation. Good the see the bats starting to warm up a bit and Wright finally making some contact. also nice to see other teams looking a lot like last years Mets, errors, base running blunders, awful bull pens etc
Ollie will always be Ollie, up and down. Looking ridiculously good (I bet you he will throw a perfect game one day), and not even able to complete 4 innings the next start. Teams always did this against the mets, they were just never able to take advantage of it, and made ridiculous errors in the process (Church missing 3rd, etc)
Maine is still missing about 2-4 mph on his fastball, but he's locating very well so far. 1 hit through 2 innings against him
You mean us who were saying that Mike Jacobs needs to be sent the fuck down and our starting rotation kinda sucks, and Minaya is a horrible GM? Cause all of those are still true. ahah. Edit: Pagan with a 2 out Triple! 3-0 Mets.
Ike is a little shaky on the defensive side of the ball, as far as fielding throws from the IF. Just needs more experience. That was a catchable throw, Delgado used to pick those every time.
I miss when Maine was able to hit 94-95 MPH on his FB conistently. He's not pitching that bad today though.
Yeah, the constant injuries have had an effect on him, it almost seems like he's holding something back doesn't it? That said, his location has been excellent today, and thats why he only has 2 hits against him today.
Bellidouche is the only one I see in that thread actually bugging out, and no one "jumped off the bandwaggon", but that's probably just a poor choice of words on your part. Jeeeeeze.
