Exactly. He is running out of gas every start. There is no reason not to sit him for 2 weeks, get him fresh for the playoffs.

He is going to have to go through this sometime. Most pitchers experience something like this when they pitch as much as he has for the 1st time. I think he will be fine in the long run.
Your right... it'd be different if we had a 12 game lead or were about to close out the division but both Philly and Atlanta are still in and Philly could be breathing down our necks by the end of this next series if we play like crap.
6 games going into September is hardly breathing down our necks. We have a nice enough cushion right now that we can afford to give the guys rest as needed.
