I typically watch all sports alone, with occasional exceptions. Jets/Bengals SNF Week 17, I watched at a friend's apartment, with a few football fans he knows. It's usually not worth it for me to watch sports with other people, because most people I know are not capable of discussing sports intelligently enough to hold my attention. It's just distracting.
I watch Jets games with my 12 year old son. He's always there for a high five, but knows when Dad gets quiet, that he should too. He's a Broncos fan (He was born in Denver), but he loves football and we support each other. Week 17 was tough, but we respected each other's emotions. I wore a Terrell Davis Jersey under my Namath throwback. He wore a Ferguson under his Elway throwback. He's now full go Jets, especially with the Chargers in line next week. My 14 year old son isn't as bright and comes down into the mancave with his obnoxious shit-talking friends thinking they know football. We had a little talk during the Atlanta game that if he and his little turd friends didn't STFU, that they would be spitting Chicklets. His response was "Dude, what's your problem?" I swear to God, I have no idea how he is still alive right now. Must be a fear of his 100 lb mother.
I watch every away game with my Dad and go to every home game with him. We have the same happy attitude towards the Jets so it works out great, every game is watched through green colored glasses. This game was tough because I was moving on Gameday but it all worked out.
Got no other choice down here in Steelers/Cowboys/Vikings/Titans/whoever's winning land (Memphis). I have never seen so many bandwagon jumpers in my life.
Usually with a Giants fan most my friends are one, but I think I've got a few coming to the Light. The Jets D has got a lot of them talking
For me, it has to be alone I hate people talking during the game. Also, my family thinks Im crazy because I am yelling at a tv, they just dont get it.
yea on saturday when i got home from work my father said that he invited some friends over, i was a little upset because i cant be myself (my JETSelf) with outsiders around they wont understand why im screaming at the tv so i feel like im being held back.
I always watch with my two little girls. My two year old does the Jets cheer when they score a touchdown. It drives my 49ner fan wife crazy, lol.
I watch alone, not counting the kids running around. Why? I'm the only Jets fan I know. Sunday games are Monday here and start from about 5am through to 12pm. I am taking next Monday off work to watch the game.
When I'm at home, always with my dad. When I'm at school, I try and watch it alone as much as possible. Colts country out here.
