But thats not what the media is implying. The media puts this out there in a way that says “signing Manning is a no-brainer” without telling the reality behind the scenes when determining the actuality of the Jets signing Manning. Cap space,re-injury, offensive scheme, players currently on the roster, future risk, back-up plan and other holes/needs have to be taken into account tremendously, but the media never focuses on that, and neither do the majority of people for bring him in.
It doesnt surprise me, because they dont give a shit about the team in 2 or 3 years, they just care about how much shit is going on now so that they can make money off of it. The only reason the media is making the Jets seem like the front runner for Manning, is because the whole national media would have an absolute frenzy. Whatever allows them to make a story at the end of the day is all that matters to them, they arent fans and dont give a shit how successful the franchise is in 3 years, they are just vultures trying to make a story off of the breadcrumbs left in the wake of a disappointing season.
It was never stated he would be fully healthy. I think everyone's hard on for Peyton Manning was blinding them to the fact of just how's serious his surgery was. That's why so many on this board are against going after him. No one knows if he'll be 100%.

C-Mart gets it. If there is a chance Manning can be healthy at the start of the season you take it. He gives you the best chance at winning in 2012 and that's what it's all about.

I didn't think there was..there is disagreement about what to do with Sanchez by some or how much to pay him and certainly nobody wants to trade for him but I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't want a healthy Manning if he fell in your lap.
I think the nerve damage is too great and he will never regain his form with that throwing arm of his... He will retire. You will be stuck with the Sanchize...
