"After hours of reflection, sitting alone in the dark, I made a pact with myself. I will certainly not only not the watch Super Bowl this year, but I will not watch the Super Bowl again until the New York Jets are playing in this game. This loss hurts more than words can describe, but after today, I will hold my head up high KNOWING this team has what it takes. The New York Jets will get to the promised land and I will wait for them. FUCK THE SUPER BOWL. FUCK THE STEELERS. FUCK THE PACKERS. If the Jets are not participating, I aint either." in other words: WAH! lmao
No fucken way, in fact i am calling it quits on all sports, hockey, baseball until nfl pre-season. I may watch some knicks games since they are exciting, but i've lost all interest in sports. Not going to waste time on my islanders, mets right now, enough is enough.
Oh I'm in and will have one particular Steeler fan in mind who left me msgs on the home, cell and work numbers today telling me IT DOESNT EVEN MATTER IF THEY WIN, THAT BEATING US WAS BETTER. F him and F the Steelers... GO PACK
I think this might be the first Super Bowl I don't watch. Its going to be hard tho, ima be at college. Everywhere I go the TVs going to be on. Ugh...
I haven't watched a Super Bowl in 25 years. I refuse to watch that game until the Jets are in it. The boycott continues!!!
I'm not crying at all. The football season has always ended after championship sunday, the Super Bowl has been more of an event than a game for years. In past years, I have always watched because it's the Super Bowl everybody watches. I don't like the actual sport of football, I like the New York Jets, I think baseball is a far superior game. I don't enjoy watching a football game not involving the Jets, so this essentially just was the last straw for me. I don't really like football, and I think the way the NFL treats the real fans is a disgrace so fuck the Super Bowl.
Of course, I enjoyed watching the saints beat the colts last year. And now I will enjoy watching Aaron Rodgers carve up that Steelers defense.
I'll watch it. No excitement obviously. I'll be less bummed about it by kickoff time. I was really hoping to beat Manning, Brady, big ben, then Rodgers. Dream come true but yea I'm dreaming.
Living in Greece, I do have to pull an all-nighter to watch the whole damn game and right now, I'm not sure I want to do that. It's still hard for me to swallow Sunday's defeat.
I always take the opposite viewpoint. I want the team who knocked off the Jets in the playoffs to suffer similar heartbreak. I want the fans of the team that enjoyed their team beating the Jets to be saddened later in the postseason. This idea that the Jets would look better if the Steelers win the Super Bowl is pure nonsense. It will not change how the Jets 2010 season was viewed.
It's been a week and a half and I now have even less interest in watching the game. Football season is over, I couldn't care less who wins. On Sunday I'll be renting a DVD and watching the top 10 commercials in the morning online
