i tihnk this is a genius idea, i was just saying they shoud put sometinhg like this since last seasons games were like lions vs. GB, geez
Don't like it at all. As a Patriots season ticket holder who sometimes has work commitments on Sundays, I don't like the way the league is willing to jerk around fans who are paying customers for a few more tv dollars--and that's all this is about.
^ Think of it like this then. Assume all Patriots home games between Weeks 10-15 and 17 are night games and then do a dance of joy when the league moves them to afternoon starts. Jeez. Complain about everything. Flex scheduling (which again, will only affect seven of the 256 regular season games) is a no-brainer.
Just got some more info from WFAN. Not only will games be moved from Sunday afternoon to Sunday night regularly, but also, games will be moved from 1 to 4 regularly, probably to cover for the lost game to NBC. So don't assume anything the last weeks of the season as far as game times go. Also, the NFL has already locked in some games for NBC late in the season, if it chooses to take it. For example, the Colts vs. Cowboys game has been speculated to be NBC's if it wants it on Week 11. I guess they wanted to spread things out so that NBC can get a marquee game the last few weeks, or else the other networks will block them out.
Yes, that is true. There will be games changed from 1 to 4 and 4 to 1, but again only seven will be moved to 8:30 starts. Considering that people tailgate, I can't imagine any fans going ape because a game was changed from 1 to 4.
