Yeah, if we win and Oakland (@KC), Tennessee (v JAX) and Cincinnati (v ARI) lose next week I think that's it clinched. Oakland and Tennessee would have 8 losses and we have the tiebreaker with Cincinnati.

EDIT: Not true - Cincinnati wins the tiebreaker if we lose to Miami. We cannot clinch next week.

As a Jets fan, the last team I want controlling the Jets destiny is the Jets.

Damn. So assuming we beat the Giants, it ultimately comes down to winning out, and it has to happen against Miami.

    Yikes. Absolutely yikes.

Well, no, Cincinnati could lose both games in theory.

If Cincy loses twice (and at least 1 loss for them is guaranteed against the Ravens) then if we win next week and lose against Miami we will get in

I don't think it's inconceivable that Cincy and Oakland loses both games to finish their season tho.

hey we may get backdoored in but that's how we roll :)

So do we control our destiny right NOW ?

Or only after we win 1 more AFC Game (Miami) ?

    Who's the 2nd WC right now ?????

To get in at 8-8 we need San Diego to win out and take second place in the West and Tennessee to lose 9. That gives us the breakers in a three way tie with Cincy and San Diego.

Well yes, we win the next two games and we are in the playoffs, so we control our destiny.

45-3 but the team was 9-2.

This team has too many holes.

Honestly it looked like Babin wasn't even touched on at least half the plays he was rushing on. Hunter is unbelievably awful. Having said that, Santonio and Sanchez laid eggs today too.

And that's just on the offensive side of the ball...

The difference between last year and this year is that last year the team didn't suck all year before they got blown out. People felt that they were a SB caliber team. This year's team has been doo doo butter from week 3 onward.

Our strenght of Victory HAS to be better. The Bengals havent beaten a single legit opponent. Their biggest win was against the Bils. We beat the Bills twice, AND the Cowboys.

The Bengals wont even beat the Ravens week 17 so it doesnt matter.

Do we still hold the common games tiebreaker if Cincinnati beats Baltimore the final week?
