I have been very pleased with Fitz, I thought he was average at best from watching his play him when he was with Buffalo.

I think he has been a top 10 QB in the league om the season as a whole.

I think he should be brought back without question.

They're not alike in terms of style but Vinny used to do this all the time, throw a bad pick and then shrug it off and make it up later in the game.

Yeah, that takes a lot of balls and a huge amount of poise to do.

He put his head down and got to work. Not easy to do after a demoralizing interception behind your own 20

I don't see where there's a question at this point. The Jets have one proven NFL QB on the roster and he's got some mojo going at the moment.

Chan and Fitz hugging it out after Dallas game.

Give Fitz 2 year contract, a decent gap to our next QB

Only 4 QBs have thrown more INTs and he's below average in YPA, completion pct and passer rating.

…because the other thread I made asking wether we keep him next year or not has become irrelevant.

The answer is yes, yes we absolutely should keep him. we should probably keep him for the next 2-3 years in-fact. Hell, Mods, if you want to lock down the last thread and leave a link for this one, it'd be appreciated.

So real talk; how much are we gonna pay him?

market says anywhere from 5-6 million a year on average with incentives for more. He's a valuable commodity going into next season and DESERVES a fair amount of guaranteed compensation for the valuable impact he has on and off the field.

That said he's not exactly in the same market as other vets like B.Roth, Rivers, Palmer and Eli.

he's had a great year, but its just ONE year, and he'll be 34 by 2016's years end. we need to strike a balance between paying him well but… maybe not over 10 million a year well.

with that I wanna get impressions from everybody, how much do we pay Fitz-magic in the coming years now that we're all but certain we want him back?

2 yr $10 million is a fair deal for both sides.
