So he didn't name fitz the starter for the rest of the season? Your last post seem to say that. I don't think injury is the only way, fitz puts up another 50% 2 turnovers in a loss theres going to be changes. Bowles won't have a choice.
Fitz was only named starter for this week and its been reported that Geno is in consideration if Fitz continues to Fitz us.
Wow!! didn't mean it to sound that way. Based on what we have seen, fitz is not the real problem so (my opinion) before he sits there would have to be drastic changes on the players who are really f#cking up.
Found this http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...ick-stays-starter-jets-turn-article-1.2444815 Searched couldn't find anything that supports your claim. some more: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...yan-fitzpatrick-starting-qb-article-1.2444366 key point: Bowles was asked if Fitzpatrick has a shorter leash now. “No, he’s the starting quarterback,” the coach said.
He is one of the biggest problems right now, he is the QB and if the offense is struggling like it has you have to look at him first.
He didnt play too hot in some of the wins either. Its not just him tho. The offense in general has been bad. We need a rb next season. I like ivory but hes been dinged up this season and it's clear he hasnt been healthy in weeks. Thats hurt and put more pressure on Fitzpatrick, who as i stated early has only won one game this season in which the jets trailed at any point in the game. Thats not a qb whos gonna get you anywhere or anything. I think TB is falling into the trap that a lot of new coaches make, sticking with a veteran rather than cultivating talent. Were not making the playoffs this season. That much is certain, so we look to the future. Not keep playing guys who arent gonna be around next season. This just doesn't go for a qb but all positions. That is your opinion. I can't find one statement or article saying or implying he is one of the biggest problems. I'm not a big Fitz supporter and he isn't our answer to the QB problem. But I share the opinion and belief of most Jet fans and the sports media who believe he is the best option for now.
Fix his fourth quarter performance or drop in anyone for the final few drives. Even Geno. Or the wildcat. Or Geno and the wildcat.
Again respectively this is your opinion. No one said he's playing well. And shit only comes to mind when geno is playing(my opinion) . And reading articles would help stop some of the posters from making stupid post. Not saying or implying your one of them.
Fitz is an avg QB, which for the Jets is a good improvement. But an avg QB needs the rest of the team to be playing well. He won't be able to put up an extra 14 points because our defense didn't show up. He can't overcome dropped passes in the endzone. Getting the first pass to hit his WR in the hands only to be dropped hurts. Expecting him to repeat the process on the next snap goes beyond the job description of an avg QB. Fitz can't get 120 yards on the ground either. So when you say Fitz is the problem, your saying Fitz isn't good enough to cover for the rest of the team.
