Belichick has gone 6 season without Brady, guess how many playoff games he has won without Brady? NONE. He only made the playoffs once without Brady, when he was on the Browns, but lost anyway.

6 seasons without a playoff win? Belichick better pray Mallet is a G.O.A.T. multiple Super Bowl winning QB or else the Patriots are in for some deep shit when Brady retires.

I like stories! This is a nice one. Unfortunately it isn't factually correct. The Browns beat the Patriots in the playoffs during the 1994 season. BB was 1-1 in the playoffs without Brady.

Also, he didn't get a chance to win a playoff game with Cassel at QB because the Pats missed the playoffs with an 11-5 record.

There's no doubt Brady has had more than alot to do with BB's success. But most would agree that Brady simply was asked to manage the offense and not make mistakes the first SB season (Other than the big drive at the end of the SB). That team won on defense definitely.

maybe they will. but absent of serious injury to Brady that gives him significant playing time, Mallet isn't going to get much playing time to prove that the Pats should drop the greatest player in team history for him, so the Pats better believe he is Steve Young incarnate if they do so.
