OMG err ahhh lrts not discuss clock management and our CS brilliant minds ....thats taboo unless you really want to feel sh**ty
anyone remember eagles/patriots SB? Same thing happened Eagles down two scores with the ball they put together a drive, but it took so long, and there was no sense of urgency from McNabb they finally scored but it was too late
It's Andy Reid's classic eight-minute drill. I remember in the Super Bowl they blamed it on McNabb hyperventilating in the huddle...what's the excuse today?
Tom Brady throws four interceptable passes gets lucky, and now we have to hear him be called a clutch big game QB. Maddening. Please beat this team, Denver.
Too funny Brady gets a phantom roughing call and doesn't get called for intentional grounding and Smith gets blatantly hit late twice and no call. Maybe this shit is fixed. _
I mentioned that a few ago. The only difference Smithh was at least trying to pick up the pace, McNabb was throwing up and using the whole play clock
If you define picking up the pace as snapping the ball with fifteen seconds left on the playclock instead of three then yeah but that whole sequence before the two-minute drill was laughable by any standard. I can almost understand the receiver not getting out of bounds, he's trying to score. But then on first down you RUN the ball? And then don't snap it again before the two minute warning? And false-start coming out of a timeout? And somehow waste ANOTHER forty-five seconds to score despite a pass interference penalty? I thought Alex Smith supposedly had more autonomy late in the season but it looked like the classic Reid eight-minute drill to me.
I normally let this go, but the guy took a 3 step run at him and if Brady doesn't see him coming he gets laid out.
