Joe, you are living in the past. Southie is actually very yuppy Millenials and Metrosexuals these days. Not so much blue-collar tough Irishman anymore. A 1-2 bedroom apartment, excuse me luxury condo will cost you 1 to 1.5 million at least. In the meantime, you better watch out what you say about the Boston Irish. I learned at a very young age, they have a great sense of humor. But if you piss them off (i.e. urinal jokes) you might find yourself departed. I am pretty sure there are some New York Irish men who also may not find your humor so funny. But it is your life to manage, so good luck with your racist Irish comments.
