    0-2 LMAO.

Was just looking ahead for the Yanks. God forbid that series goes 5, who is pitching game 5? Taillon?

A rainout tonight maybe in their interest, stretch it out another day and pitch Cole if needed.

Yankees game officially rained out. Game 2 will be played Friday afternoon with a 1:07 start time.

Cole would probably pitch game 4 on Sunday the 16th. That would be his 5 days. You can't pitch Nestor game 5 because he pitches Friday and that will be 2 days rest for Monday game 5. I highly doubt it gets to that situation because Yanks will win in 3 or 4 but it's just interesting conversation.

The day off between game 1 and 2 was stupid. The rest of the games would have to be played consecutive with no days off even with travel time.

Taillon or German would be my guess, and then all hands on deck. Cortes ready for game 1 of the ALCS.

Totally agree. I hate the wild card, even with changes. Win your division. Tough luck if you can't.

Cortes would be on 4 days then.

and totally agree with you both. MLB really botched this. Shouldn’t come into play though regardless

The Yankees are a better team than the Guardians and I expect them to move on. The real test becomes the Astros. If they can finally solve them then I predict Championship #28.

Been hearing this conversation on the radio the past two days — do you want to play them? I don’t think it diminishes anything by having the mariners beat them and you beat the mariners. I think people who want to play them are crazy

You play who is on the schedule. Simple as that. Obviously the Astros had a better season so the thought is root for the Mariners. But I honestly don't care.

    Astros up 2-0

I just found out that the Dodgers traded Alvarez to the Astros for Josh Fields in '16. What a crazy trade looking back at it now.

I haven't lived and died on every pitch like the Yankees/Indians series, but the umps have been pretty shitty behind the plate.

I think umps can get it wrong but they need to be consistent in their calls.. Definitely haven't been for either team.

Plus side, Stanton turned a should have been walk to a 2 run homer. Be huge if he can get it going.

That was a terrible call but it worked out for the Yankees.

2-3 more missed calls against the Indians since my post about Stanton. Really haven't been close.

Nice job by Nestor and nice play to get out of it. Probably got one more inning out of him before they turn it to the pen. Third time through the lineup coming up + he’s at 71 pitches

I'm not sure. I was on work calls so I was not fully invested in every pitch but I would have liked to see him go 6 if possible. Our bullpen is an issue

92 through 5 so i like the move to pull him. His 5th inning was shaky.

Yanks gonna end up using 4 or 5 guys here to get 12 outs. Not ideal
