I think Lou Piniella is still resting his hitters. rest is overrated in baseball. the Phils and Dodgers played up until the last days of the season, and their pitching and hitting is fine without rest. I'm sure come playoff time, players aren't tired anymore. taking them out of their everyday routine is far worse in baseball than being a bit tired. that's what adrenaline os for.

That's the first thing I thought of. he was great down the stretch in high pressure games so that eases my fears a bit but he's been awful in October.

Wow, I'm on the road this week and catching these games in various places, I can't believe how the Dodgers are playing. Been waiting for this for 20 years.

That was my thinking..... you just proved that you could beat the Mets in Shea that last week, they never should have laid down that last series and now it's going to cost them. Good fuck em. Their fans would be the all time worst if they win the WS. They're already annoying with that curse of the billy goat crap but the truth is they had terrible ownership.

He is a season ticket holder but he's a Ny area guy who grew up and was talking yankees all the time until this year when he became Mr. Ray. he is such a phony, it reminds me of what he did about 10 years ago. He used to have a college basketball preview magazine that came out around Sept/october and he picked Michigan State to win the national Title. Then in November ESPN had a preview special and he picked them around 5th. Mich State went on to win the nat'l Title and he was crowing about how he picked them in his magazine:rofl:

    not surprisingly, he lost again.

Brewers down 2-1 in series to Phillies now.

Boston and Tampa Bay up 2-0 each, with Boston scoring 2 in the 9th off the Anaheim bullpen to win, 7-5. Sets up an AL East ALCS.

pretty amazing how the Cubs mailed in the last week of the season and then got swept. Nice job.

#1 seeds are 0-5 so far.

Phillies move on and take the Brewers in 4.
They face the Dodgers in the NLCS on FOX.

Dodgers will take the NL. I'm liking Boston against Anaheim and then again against Tampa, as long as the pitching remains strongand hitting clutch.
