very good thread lots of good stuff here!!! 1 question, if the game doesnt sell out it is then blacked out. now if there are 15,000 empty seats and they are giving them away how long will they do that for? probably forever but who knows. so if the stadiums create a ticket that is priced so high that its never sold out then the blackouts happen and NOBODY gets to even watch their local team. now that would be a major issue for the nfl. my love for football came from playing it, my choice of team was due to my parents choices of teams long ago. but without playing the game i would have never loved it or enjoyed it like i do. now i can sit and watch a game on tv, i actually prefer it, and be quite happy. i actually only went to 1 jets game as a child and it was a preseason game to boot. get those kids involved in pop warner and they will have a much better possibility of becoming fans than bringing them to a game, at least thats my take
Mara said he hoped the variety of price points will enable longtime to fans to keep coming to games, even if they cannot afford to sit in a similar section in the new stadium. “Some may have to move,” Mara said. “I hope not, but that could occur. “I’d like to think there are affordable alternatives here.” Based on this quote reply by Mara, some people in the upper deck, low on seniority, are going to be moved to a more expensive location to accomadate a lower level holder with 35 years. There are going to fans moved from a 1k PSL to a 7500 PSL. It will be a take it or leave it deal so some season tic holders are going to kicked out so to speak. Its going to be ugly.
