It may not be the reason but for him to to get suspended until Monday says he did something very wrong. I'll bet he get cut if we pick up another CB. Notice he not allowed back until a few days after final cuts.

Maybe because he's guaranteed for $1mm , set to make another 2 and we have no corners? Maybe they want to see who shakes lose on Saturday?

You think because he's suspended for a week he did something very wrong? Jesus. I wish you were my boss haha
I doubt it. No way Idzik let's this loom over his head like that. If this is true, who would respect him? Who would respect a GM that suspends a player for one week for quitting and going AWOL, just because he's missing talent and needs help? Think about the shit that would rain down on his head if this were true.

Sounds like he's being punished for not mentioning his reason for absence to the coaching staff, but there was a far more serious reason behind it, thus only causing a weeks suspension.

Not only that but if he didn't do something wrong him and his agent would be telling whoever wants to listen where he was. You can take up for him all you want but I would bet if we didn't have all the injuries at CB he would be gone already.

That's not necessarily true. For all anyone knows, he could have had a serious family incident but just didn't say anything like he should have. Taking the suspension because he should have mentioned his reason for leaving but would like to keep his family incident quiet, thus telling his agent not to go public with it.

You believe everything that happens with these professional athletes is public? Give me a break.

No I don't. Have you heard one of his teammates come to his defense? Don't you think they don't know what happen?

None of them have said anything negative either. They all have said numerous times that they are not aware of the details and hope he's ok if something happened. The only semi negative responses are because the question being asked is in relation to him not being happy with the pecking order, something that has not been verified.

Lol I'm not saying he got suspended for a personal issue.

I'm saying he got suspended for not letting management know when and why he was leaving. For just walking out without notice.

Colon sounded a bit negative in this article. My point is this stinks and the fact that he was suspended makes me think whatever his reason was it means more towards irrational than excusable which is driven by fact that he was ultimately suspended with undisclosed additional punishment. We will know by Monday that's for sure

So he's just suspended for the final week of preseason? What kind of discipline is that?

Eh, it's management. It takes time and this is how you buy it. Stall with a bit of paid leave and look at what happens. Investigate, let that glacier sleep on it a bit.

I predict we will have to keep him until we can find someone to replace his dumb arse.

No need for a hasty decision when he is obviously not going to play in this last preseason game, be it injuries, being an asshat, or having explosive diarrhea.

When players go AWOL you get rid of them (Take Eric Decker for example, he went AWOL in the Super Bowl).

I respectfully disagree. Let's look at this timeline of events. The dude gets signed with the expectations that he would start against Millner. He talks a big game about how he's as good as all the big cornerback names. Then he gets burned for 45 yards by DaRick Rodgers, Hasselbeck and Co during the Colts game. Then he goes AWOL during the next game.

I don't know about you, but I would rather see him play on Thursday to see if Colts game was the anomaly or the norm than banking on him to begin the season in any capacity. He hasn't proven at all that he's earned a spot, and if you think nine years of film makes our front office experts on him, take a look at Matt Schaub with the raiders, Cromartie last year, Kyle Wilson and other veterans who get paid only to disappoint. I'm not sure how anyone can say confidently he deserves a roster spot without proving nothing on the field, where it matters.
