Mims needs to make that catch. 6-3 dude, the ball is within his grasp. Cole with multiple drops too. Zach has one bad play - threw behind Cole almost causing INT. Honestly on other incomplete throws not sure if he could do too much more. One of them was batted down when pocked collapsed. Another was a long pass to Mims where there was no separation, so he just aired the ball out. Another was trying to throw over defender quickly as he got in his face. Really not much Zach could have done aside from not throwing behind Cole on one of the plays.
You are a few weeks behind me then. I've already given up trying to have a discussion. It's like some of these guys aren't even watching the games. I even saw a Hackenberg comparison if you can believe that nonsense.
I read that Miami switched from zone to man to man and that was the difference in 2nd half. The WR weren’t winning. And by time Zach went through the progressions he had no time. There were free rushers all day in 2nd half!!!! There was play in particular it was for Mims, he was blanketed and looked like he quit the route. To be honest Zach did not have a WR 1 or 2 on the field. Crowder and Berrios that was it! They are WR 3 and 4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The top 2 WRs are out and none of the other WRs can get open. Also, Mike White faced a soft zone when he had that 300 yard game. When Miami switched from zone to man, WRs couldn't get open.
Watching Fields play absolutely horribly. A lot worse than Zach has looked. Hard to watch Fields play, not ready. This is one case where statistics don’t tell the true story. To be fair his receiver group just as horrible with the exception of Mooney. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
His stats will look great as he leads his team to 3 points. Worst offense in the league and Fields is a huge part of it ..
Watch it? I watched it twice after seeing the first complaint, long before I responded to anyone here. He was asked a number of questions; the one he blew off was a perfectly legitimate question and he said he wasn't concerned. Don't you have a problem with a quarterback who is not concerned about his lack of productivity? There was no "trap' unless you think 170 yards is acceptable production. Why are you so invested in making excuses for the guy? I do not give the slightest crap about how Darnold answered questions, or Smith or Esiason or Todd or Namath. It says "Zach Wilson" at the top of the page here - that is who we are talking about.
What, precisely, was wrong with the question? What was the "bear trap"? Are you okay with Wilson not being concerned about such things as poor productivity?
Another decent breakdown (JT O'Sullivan). Keep in mind this guy is good friends with Adam Gase. I do not agree with everything he says and he picks strange plays to criticize Wilson on (I thought there were others) but all in all a good breakdown.
