He had a workout with Giants don't get too excited thread closed. Was hoping it was us but looks like we are going with Cumberfuc even though he isn't very good and a few guys got cut who are better smh
numbers show that chan gailey ranked 32nd in the NFL in TE usage when he was running the show in Buffalo... i don't think not having a TE kills us at all. He ranked 1st in 4 WR spread usage by a long shot. MArshall will be in the slot a lot this year.. he's our big target in the middle . Fuck Jace.
No. The original, famous song that birthed the popularity of the expression was recorded by Billy Joel in 1976: Since Joel first recorded and released the song in 1976, it has become a pop standard that has been covered by numerous artists, including Barbra Streisand, Lea Michele and Melissa Benoist, Joanna Wang, Elton John, Shirley Bassey, Oleta Adams, Carmen McRae, Mark-Almond, Diane Schuur, Ben Sidran, Mel Tormé, Frank Sinatra Jr., Adam Pascal, and Tony Bennett. Or he could be talking about the Nas banger off Illmatic from 1994: But the expression "New York state of mind" is much a part of pop culture. This is my, "damn, I'm really starting to get old" moment, isn't it?
Bowles said yesterday he feels good about our TE situation and that he doesn't plan on signing somebody anytime soon. He wouldn't rule out bringing a third guy in if it makes sense but it looks like we'll move on with Cumberland & Kellen Davis. I don't have any faith in those two but Chan and Bowles know what they want from their TE group so we'll see I guess.
But we've had opportunities to upgrade or at least bring in some legit competition (and it doesn't take much when you talk Cumberland/Kellen), it seems like Bowles/Chan really do believe those guys can get it done. "It" meaning "not expecting much or any contribution". Because I don't see either making plays or blocking well. I almost wish we'd move a tackle to TE just to have another blocker our there. The Patriots just drafted a 300 pound TE.
That just gave me a Mangini flashback. When he kept saying each day during camp and during the season that Chad gave us the best chance to win...only to bench him for Kellen Clemens a couple weeks later.
