The one play that made me happy was when Darnold took off and ran for 24 yards, picking up a crucial third and long. Darnold isn't Lamar Jackson, but he's got some solid athleticism I wish he used more. Big time play from the kid.

May need another defensive touchdown and maybe Haskin will give it to them.

It would be cool if we were the same person, but we aren't. I've seen him before on Twitter though and got a kick out of it.

I loved that as well as the zone read run for a TD.

Continues to throw off his back foot, and refuses to just throw the ball away when nothing's there.

    Just not true
After the Int I can think of 3 plays where he threw it away.

In the minus column, he had one terrible, Sanchez-like decision on the interception and another strip sack where he has to do a bit better and know that it is coming. Pretty much everything else was positive. Take away the int and he would have had a very good day, with it it was just a good day. I'd say that's progress and I'll take it.

Sam Darnold's opponents in the last 3 games:

    Dolphins
    Giants
    Redskins

Let's see how he does the rest of the way.

Sam had the most passing touchdowns vs the Redskins than any other QB to face them.

You can only play who is on your schedule. Good QBs play great against bad teams.

The reports coming out about how Sam went to Gase and is telling him what plan he feels comfortable in and wants to run is huge IMO. It’s showing it is HIS offense. This is the same thing Brees does down in NOLA with Payton. Why are you going to run shit that your QB isn’t comfortable with?

But this was told to Sam early on. Gase said he wanted Sam to own this offense and make it his own. It seems he's getting more comfortable as the weeks go by.

If it was, then I missed it. Whoops. However, I can totally understand why he would be timid about making these decisions - He's played what, 20 games total in his career so far?

Nice stats but 65/99 being 67 percent bothers me. Just looking at it anyone can see it is less than 66 percent. Not to take away from how well Sam has played and more importantly how he has been able to regain some lost composure and confidence but people tweeting obvious math mistakes is bothersome.

    It's called the Darnold Effect.

Similar to "benefit of the doubt", the Darnold Effect is a statistical bias that is weighted to account for Sam's likability and naive optimism.
