That's not half as bad as what this dickhead from AOL Fanhouse (not Graziano) has been saying

Unbelievable, the issue is dead the Jets aren't gonna suspend Edwards just let it go.

They're never going to let this go. It's amazing that just because it's Braylon and he's on the Jets-they're rolling with it daily.

    Damn.

I'm not excusing what Dickie said because of personal experience. It's perfectly possible to be opposed to drunk driving and still feel that Braylon received appropriate punishment from the team. I get WHY he was upset, but that doesn't make it right.

What the FUCK!?! He's comparing Edwards to Casey Freaking Johnson? That's disgusting. I know we have people who make sick comments, like the people on here who were saying Dungy should have been more concerned about his own kid than Rex's language. The difference is, this guy has a national platform from which to spew this bullshit.

If Dickie V feels so strongly about drunk driving, why does he work for a TV Network that advertises beer and encourages people to drink beer?

Fuck all media. This country consumes 94% of the world's drugs, so where is this high and mighty talk coming from? We are a nation full of drug users and abusers.

I don't even want to hear Dickie V's screaming until March. It isn't march, so he should shut the fuck up.

Wow that's ridiculous... any writer who states this should have his credentials taken away from him.

I saw an interview with Woody, where he actually mentioned that very thing, and that he's been very active in trying to raise awareness of, and access to substance abuse healthcare.

Or especially ...someone who states it without researching Woody's very public comments for the last two weeks..

Don't remember people getting this mad when Maualuga was so drunk he hit another car or when Simms was caught driving under the influence of Marjuana...

Yeah this is it, ignore the video they put that up instead of Dick V talking for some reason. But at least they kept the audio:

I soooo tired of all these people on top of their morality soap boxes. Nobody takes drunk driving lightly. Personally I hardly ever drink at all, and I'm all for putting drunk drivers in jail ... but enough of all this BS about the Jets "sending the wrong message". I wish everyone would just STFU already.

The law will punish Edwards accordingly. Period. Nobody is saying he should get away with it Dickie V you idiot! Since when is it the job of the employer to punish an employee for something he did on his own time??? I really don't get it. So the guy should be treated differently than everyone else because he's a football player? It's an effin' game for Christ's Sake!! He "Plays" football ... Get it?? He's not that big of a deal in society. I could see if he were a Cop, or a Judge or a Senator or something like that ... but he plays a game for a living people!!!

What if the same thing happened to a plumber ... or an electrician ... or the little Chinese lady around the corner who does my dry cleaning? Are they not supposed to show up for work the next day??? The whole thing is so effin' idiotic to me.

The guy has every right to do his job until he has his day in court.

Commentators are doing a disservice by marginalizing the act,
and making the punishment dependent upon who you root for
