Interesting how in the article, at one point the writer refers to Roberston as 'Ferguson'. Lots of people on this board miss Jason Ferguson, I wonder if the writer does too and it was a Freudian slip...
i think i'd also like to see Robertson converted to DE; he's got quickness of the ball to penetrate. having said that, he's no pass-rushing DE, but in a 3-4, i can see him succeding. furthermore, it may save a higher draft pick we'd have to otherwise spend on a DE. cheers
Maybe we should get Tom Rock's (what kinda name is that? ) fatass out there if its all about weight only. Listen, fatso: Casey Hampton was about 5 pounds heavier than D-Rob last season. Same height. New Englands Vince Wilfork, another terrific 3-4 NT, was about 5-10 pounds heavier than D-Rob. Kelly Gregg, who helped Ray Lewis winning the DPOY trophy in 2003 was a 290 pound NT at that time. Its NOT about size. Stupid.
It's not about weight, it's about stature and leverage, two things you need to be an NT and two things DRob lacks, which is why he is a horrible fit at NT.
Exactly. Technique, leverage. Nobody cares about weight or height... I wouldnt say D-Rob is a HORRIBLE fit at NT though but its pretty stupid to line him up there. Thats like switching Freeney from DE to DT. Makes absolutely no sense.
