The Manish Mehta part makes this whole thing garbage. He has always bent the truth and there is no reason to believe what he says. I think Gase is a bad coach. But Mehta is crap, the other reports and the video by Ed Reed I can believe some of... not Metha.
By playing hard we lost out on a edge rusher we need for the next 7 years. The schedule is way harder next season. Maybe just maybe we should have lost a few more. You get No trophy for playing hard in the NFL. Not buying into builds for next season.
Well we can always hope there will be some good edge rusher prospects next year. We may get the #1 pick then with the schedule we'll have
6-2 during our last 8 games. Only Baltimore had a better 2nd half record than our "sucky" Jets. It doesn't matter after our 1-7 start, even after a 6-2 finish Gase critics will ignore the 2nd half. They've got their minds made up. I was once dead set on firing Gase @ 1-7 and then it happened. I seen a team who believed in one another. They refused to quit. Weaker opponents or not I began to see unknown Jets make plays. I seen Darnold improve with each and every statistical category compared to his rookie season. Bell struggled behind this makeshift O-Line (no shit) but blind Gase critics when mentioning Gase "doesn't know how to utilize Bell" (shit O-Line, hello lol and clueless fans point to "ypc" jokes) but refuse to admit how Bell leads all NFL RBs with like 70 receptions and I seen Robby Anderson to from a one route deep threat into an all around outside WR still improving. Give Gase a freaking O-Line in order for his signal caller and franchise quarterback to have time for plays to develop before you harp all over "play calling" and give him an O-Line that's not a shit fest before you talk about Bell's ypc lol and TEs that aren't 3rd & 4th stringers I seen a team go 6-2 during the 2nd half and turned a potential Kottie season into a season of building blocks moving forward. Now the draft is in Douglas hands.
7 and 9 not great but with a starting QB and backup missing four games I prefer to be on the hopeful side. Two inside linebackers returning. Four prime draft choices for lineman and a top WR. Next year should be much improved.
