Are you joking? Money aside, these are the types of moves we were all BEGGING Herm and Bradway to make the whole waste of time they were in charge.
Exactly. When the Jets actually get to a super bowl or have a few 12+ win seasons in a row they'll get some respect. As of right now they have 1 Super Bowl appearance and 1 12+ win season in their history. In their history. That's good for a lot of well-deserved disrespect from the national media. We've earned it.
Mock my post? Nice avatar, but you're not diddly if you can't fan-up and acknowledge that the past week has been a serious move. Love it or leave it, but don't mock the moves that Mangini, Tannenbaum and Woody Johnson have made in the past week.
Easy, I wasn't mocking you or your post in particular. I totally agree that this was a big week, see my prior post. I just think that Jets fans should try to see it from both sides that all. Most of us think these moves are great but they're certainly not above scrutiny.
1. Thats because they never had any obvious plan. 2. We had meh cap room under them as it was. 3. Even then we probably wouldn't have been mad because Herm came into a very talented team that was ready to win now (then). It didn't happen because they sat on their hands and looked like complete idiots when that young, talented roster suddenly became old and injured. These moves would have been nice to see from them...if Herm ran a 3-4 like Parcells drafted Ellis and Abe for. So...you know our cap situation? What will it look like after Pennington, Coles, AND Clemens go for Quinn?
Good post. I'm happy to see them making moves. I don't know that Woody will work out, and I really hope that Rhodes is going to get some of this money they are handing out. But so far, so good.
these moves are desperate, but when u go 4-12 you do desperate things, we are taking a big gamble and i like it, some times u just have to grow a pair
