Sorry, but if he's guilty, I have a hard time letting a scumbag sexual predator off the hook as being "mentally ill."

It's pretty relevant given the history of the guy as a huge activist for social justice. I guess he never did fight for women's rights though (by definition an oppressed group).

It appears he has a fetish. I'm sure a big part of it is preying on the unsuspecting and trying to get away with it.

As I stated before, for guys like Watson and Cosby and Sharper etc., the thrill of raping/sexually assaulting someone and getting away with it, is what drives them. They enjoy victimizing women in a sexual manner. Of course as multimillionaire celebrities they could get laid non-stop...of course they have the money to hire all the high class hookers their heart desires....but that is NOT enough for them. They are predators who aren't looking merely to "get laid"....they are looking to victimize someone.

yeah, sorry NCJetsFan, I have to agree with Jonathan on this one. The vast majority of people in prison have some form of diagnosable mental illness or addiction issues. That doesn't absolve them of all culpability for their actions, ESP if they knew what they were doing was wrong and/or illegal, yet went ahead and did it anyway. Then there is the age old question of.....does illogical behavior necessarily mean that someone is "mentally ill" or does it just mean that they are a really shitty human being. Perhaps Watson just has a really predatory, misogynistic mindset, and he feels entitled to victimize women because of his social status and wealth. Is that evidence of a "mental illness" or of just a really shitty, entitled, predatory human being?

Watson’s attorney says he has 18 women who will testify he never sexually assaulted them. Only the truly dishonest or stupid would find that to be a relevant or influential defense, as if someone could only be a rapist, a murderer, or any type of criminal only if they raped every woman they ever encountered, murdered every person they ever encountered, robbed every bank they ever entered, etc., etc.

He isn’t accused of sexually assaulting every masseuse, he’s accused of sexually assaulting these women, and the merit of their individual accusations is not minimized by how he treated any other masseuse.

lol i was thinking the same thing JetBlue...that type of "defense" is something that suckers in only the willing or the dim-witted. By that logic, Ted Bundy could have called on every woman he had ever met over the course of his life whom he HAD NOT MURDERED to testify that he was a "good guy who wouldn't kill women, bc he didn't happen to kill them. The more of this story that emerges, the more it seems Watson is guilty as hell.

That's like Gase saying there were two teams the Jets beat last year, so he's clearly not a bad coach.

I agree. I was trying to somewhat allude to and imply that in my post. On that scale, it's definitely an addiction/illness.

But remember, guys, it doesn't matter at all what either lawyer says to the press and hardly relevant to the truth. I don't expect these cases to ever see a courtroom any more than I expect the plaintiffs are only looking for $500 apiece.

Lets not condemn the guy before we have all the facts. I admit it is not looking to good but let the investigation happen. For all we know these are happy ending places and these women are looking for a pay day.

Nike just dropped him and is monitoring the situation.

Two faces now from two of the accusers.

This is not looking good for him.

he didn't go to happy ending places like kraft did. he found them in instagram and did it in their homes and his home. the texans are being investigated too now. the equipment manager they fired that upset watson when they did it was lending out watson massage tables to take home so he can have people come who didn't have their own massage tables and even flew out some of them from out of state. the whole thing is obvious. I know innocent until proven guilty but this is somehting he's been doing for quite some time with a lot of people. it's hard to be on his side at all here. If he hired escorts or went to happy ending places nobody would care. He didn't do that. There are also messages where his GF was checking into these massage therapists to see if they were legit and not escorts. clearly she knew something was wrong. he was hiding it from her and forcing massage therapists to act like escorts. what he did is just really fucked up.

it's a hail mary. a typical defense to discredit a witness or victim. but with all the evidence at this point it's their best shot which is pretty damning in itself. even his lawyer knows he fucked. at this point his best play is to create enough doubt that he can't be convicted in a criminal case.

It really blows my fucking mind that he didn't hire escorts. I know it's not about the sexual acts and it's a power/control thing and yada yada yada. But it's wild.

there is a reason. there is always a reason. we just don't know it. some say it's because the power trip of forcing someone into it. that's what gets him off. I think it's because he was hiding it from his GF. cheating on her without her knowing and chalking it under his body maintenance routine with massages. could be a combo of both. messages are online of his manager asking a girl for her Instagram so she can send it to watson's GF because she wanted to make sure she was a legit massage therapists which to me makes me think because she knew something was up and figured he'd be banging inta-hoes or escorts. The whole thing just reeks so bad though. watson is an idiot. he cold have just been single and banged a bunch of groupies and insta hoes and escorts and nobody would give a dam. worked fine for charlie sheen. I don't think prostitution is really stigmatized anymore. it's the human trafficking part of it that's bad

He’s toast. Although the women involved calling themselves “survivors” is a touch dramatic. Unless Watson’s junk has military properties that I don’t know about.

For one of the few times I can recall, the Jets dodged a bullet.
