The Eagles don't understand what is going on at this point. They've got a big cap hit due to Wentz if he stays on the roster this year. They're over the cap by at least $50M. Wentz is the Goff in any trade they make not the Stafford. They're likely going to have to trade picks alongside Wentz to get people to take on the cap hit. Of course, it's Philly so things look all messed up from any angle. The thing that almost nobody is taking into account in all these speculated trades is that the cap comes due on first day of the league year. The teams must be in compliance with their top 51 contracts being at or under the cap by then. This means that the Eagles have less than a month to find at least $50M in cap savings for 2021.
Got this off a Texans message board. Weird shit going on over there, I'd want out too. The Janice it refers to is Janice McNair. "The story that's been told was Watson's momma made a call to Janice about the instragram hoes he and DHop were running around with , that it was a poor influence on Watson and that something should be done about it and supposedly Janice gave the orders to OB to get him gone. What we didn't know at the time was that Easterby was involved.... having had conversations with Momma Watson about the issue prior to the call to Janice. I'm not so sure how factual all this is but the pieces have kinda fallen into place over time and become more believable when the reports that Easterby having called players mothers about character issues. This story originated from people in the front office the day Hopkins was moved ..... I think it's fairly likely that there is more truth than fiction going on here , even if the details aren't exact. At the time , it didn't appear to have anything to do with Easterby but I believe it did originate there. There were several recent reports of the preacher contacting players mothers over character issues. I think its safe to assume that Watson's mother was one of those he contacted which prompted reported call to Janice It all fits too neatly , what we've heard rumor wise and what's actually happened along with the "not Texans worthy" ideal that's been the tool Easterby has used to manipulate ownership and manipulate the roster."
So Watson's mom is the one that pulled the strings to get rid of her son's best receiver option? Am I reading that wrong?
It's pretty bananas lol. Check it out, really gets interesting around page 50, lots of speculation but the whole smoke there is fire thing. https://www.texanstalk.com/threads/should-we-trade-watson.115537/page-51
Saw this one on there. I imagine Watson would veto it but I hear Carson Wentz is a big fan of Jesus. He'd fit in down there.
