They could easily sign him though; they freed up maybe $5m with the Wilfork restructuring. If they want to sign him they can also use a signing bonus, add in some extra voidable years, and make about 4/5 of this salary not count towards the salary cap this year. I'm not sure, but I would think that Belichick would think twice about letting another guy with these rumors swirling around him into his locker room.
I don't know anything about it but I do know gangs and I know that if they catch you throwing their signs all over the place and you don't know them they get pissed, Desean was doing the crip sign on national tv, that's repping I'm not trying to say that he's gonna kill anyone but that business is dirty from top to bottom There's a reason that Snoop went all Nicklodeon on us and it's not because he likes to be corny
i just read the panthers have 7 million in space...giving hardy a long tearm deal will lower is 16 million cap #
If New England has the cap space they are my pick to land D-Jax. Idzik works at a slow pace, which is fine. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who is going to move quickly and make Jackson a Jet. The Pats are the type of team that will.
i dont see idzik getting him...hes still thinking about it while other teams contacted him already haha
I also know gangs but a famous guy like Jackson doing the crip sign does not bother them at all. It brings more fame to them and that what bloods,crips,MS13 etc love. The only ones who don't want attention is the Mafia.
Idzik's phone call was probably less than a minute -- "We are interesting in Desean for x years x mil" DJax's Agent " Well Desean wants to become a JET so how about we negotiate ... - Idzik "Click"
lol good point but that why he got his ass kicked when he went to jail and he lost all respect from the mafia.
I would like to echo what some other posters have said before...pro sports especially the NFL is made up of a lot of unsavory characters. None of us truly know what gang affiliations these guys have unless they commit crimes. Desean is not a criminal and the fact that he may or may not be associated with a gang does not matter to me at all. Any team would be lucky to have this guy and the Jets really really need him. Not only would this make them a much more dangerous team, but it would also help with the maturation process of Geno. Idzik needs to get those done pronto!
The attention is gained by being associated with them. My comment isn't under dispute. If a guy is well known and starts throwing cousins all over the place you better believe that he's gonna run into some blue color
Well Jason Kelce for one. Sorry I cannot link... Just watched some interviews of some Eagle players. While some were very surprised on the release and wished DeSean Jackson the best and hard to be replaced, a couple of them supported the Eagles decision in the direction they were going...Whether that doesn't mean that they were "thrilled", but they are moving on what is best for the team... Last week whether the report was true or not, several players confronted Jackson for missing team meetings for hanging out with his friends. Jackson later apologized to the team but apparently missed another meeting that irate Chip Kelly and the front office.
Jason Kelce @Jkelce 2h We just made an extremely unpopular decision, but I couldn't be more excited and happy with where this organization is going!! #FlyEaglesFly
Woody's comments change things here. He is ultimately the boss. If he tells Idzik to go get him then I'd have to imagine Idzik's approach will be a little more aggressive.
