For idzik to make this deal, hell may have to freeze over. Idzik loves his one year no money deals. I would guess he would rather take his chances and sign Sidney rice to a cheap one year deal, than actually pay this kid. They would have to tranquilizer idzik prior to him signing off on DeSean Jackson. Lol

    Last year Vick made a
Vick said last year during eagles camp and all there drama that the young guys don't respect him. So I don't know if Vick can control him.

Not sure if he's a pos. it's a safe assumption when a guy is this good and team is this committed to dump him, he may have some issues. Lol I think most people on here are still scared after the santonio Holmes debacle. They Don't want a repeat of that charade.

Vick and Jackson are really close... If anyone can calm DeSean down, its Vick.

He's not asking for any money; he is under contract and is being shopped. You trade for him you get the contract.

I think it's a fair assumption that the eagles have made this so public, he most likely gets released and resigned.

His value, IMO, is that his guaranteed money is next to nothing on his current deal. To sign him as a free agent would require more guaranteed money, but I suppose that can be front loaded.

If he's released he may get squeezed for less money or sign a 1 year revis deal. I'm not sure, either way I can never see idzik spending anything close to the money he would command. At this point, I don't consider it a real option.

If Woody says do it? Will Idzik balk? Or will he get it done? We know woody wants it done we just don't know how badly he wants it done, or exactly how he wants it done.

What if Idzik can draft a WR in the 4th round that's as good DeSean for $1M/yr for 4 yrs? Holy shit! We'd have a great offense AND cap money to re-up our stars on defense.

I know it was in reference to the cooper/williams incident when he made the comment. It's a little bit telling of the nfl on a whole, I don't think you could expect vick or any player to really control another player. What has me more concerned is whats wrong with Jackson, othe than someone saying earlier, he's a front runner and wants the ball. I can't remember hearing anything bad about him. It's alarming seeing how desperately it appears the eagles want to get rid of him.

It's no secret all I do is complain about idzik. but I got to say after woodsy latest comments on wanting Jackson, and not wanting to hear about patience is comical. I think he's more of a nut bag than I ever thought. He hired idzik, gave him control and weather I like it or not is doing things his way. The fact the owner comes out and makes contradictory statements to that philosophy is mind boggling. I can't figure out whose running this organization. We're like the gang that can't shoot straight. It would be outside idziks mo to go for this deal, weather I can't stand him or not, it would be wild if woody demanded he do this. Why hire him? I'm sure idzik explained his philosophy. I don't know what to think at this point.

If that offer we made for him is accurate, unless a hidden team comes out, we might get him. It was said Oakland and the Jets are the two teams interested in the trade and here is the latest from Oakland:

"NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that the Oakland Raiders are not inclined to make a deal for Jackson, per sources familiar with the Raiders thinking. The Raiders are trying to build through the draft, and they were short on picks last year. They don't want to be short on picks again."

I can't see Philly just cutting him for nothing when the Jets have offered a 4th and 5th

I cant believe I'm the only one here getting a sense of Deja Vu. Reports are surfacing that Eagles want to drop him. Why would they drop a star? Why couldnt it work in Philly? Do they know something we dont know?

Having Desean, Decker, and Kerley looks good on paper. But I dont know.
