Yall being disrespectful if yall truly believe yourselves saying a 3rd pick is "way too much" for Desean Jackson... U clearly haven't watched him play. Percy Harvin jus went for a 1st rounder last year . DJax has been WAYYYYYYY better than Harvin ever was. A 3rd for him is a steal in itself, its the contract that should be the issue.

I'm not saying it'll happen, but just out of curiosity, do you think we can get a 5th or 6th round pick for Hill? I don't think that's out of the question, considering it was known he was raw and he hasn't had good quarterback play the last few years.

I doubt the Eagles are going to get a 3rd round pick like they thought they would, especially if the cut rumors are true.

If the price ends up being a 5th round pick, I can see Hill plus a 7th rounder being a possibility.

Isn't the contract what ends up dropping his value dramatically?

Witch basically means he wont end up on Jets, unless Idzik decides to give him best offer witch I'm not holding my breath for.The Eagles can wait until the draft to trade him there's no rush for them or any bonus due or anything like that

gut feeling says he gets released and Oakland picks him up on a double digit million dollar a year contract.

Idzik might be willing to play ball for the later single digits of million a year, even in terms of fully guaranteeing his salary for the next two years, but it won't be obscene.

if jackson is as particularly money grubbing as he's made out to be he may not like that and will go to a team that'll pony up the cash he demands.

One thing is for certain; JI won't play a desperate hand. and arguably unlike the CB position he really doesn't have to here. He already made a splash to the position by signing a high end player that brings plenty to the field and locker room, and he can easily draft valid talent at a cheaper rate this year. DJAX doesn't like his price range? thats cool, he'll just stick with cheaper more motivated talent and hold onto his cash for opportunities that suit him in the future.

Idzik won't live and die by free agents that go over his limit, especially ones with question marks in terms of personality. not retaining younger talent might be another story though. (don't know his approach to that yet beyond his lower cost signing of Cumberland)

He's a California guy. I'm guessing he winds up on the west coast somewhere unless he gets clearly the best offer elsewhere.

The 49ers are short cap space and would have to really wiggle to fit him and their rookies in but you know they'd like to put him in the slot against the Seahawks and try to stretch the backfield past the breaking point.

The Raiders still have some cap space at $15M or so.

The Chargers are short cap space and already have 3 WR's they like. Probably not going to be a buyer in the market but you never know.

Being in California would probably be bad for him. Doesnt he have a lot of west coast gang connections?

I want Djax guys and Id give him a extension...We need a CB too, but we have cap. Those two are such big needs, lets make it rain. And get a TE in first round.

That would be like pissing excellence.

I think latest news is Woody saying we'd be interested more if he's cut. That's looking like the most likely scenario right now.

    Hmm....

Word is Jets are willing to give Tampa Bay's 4th round draft pick and their 5th rounder for DeSean Jackson. Eagles aren't biting though.

    TAKE THE F**KING DEAL

Give them a 5th rounder, like we did with the Holmes trade.

Just a guess but at this point I don't think Philly would go for the 5th.

Then tough luck, I wouldn't go higher than Tampa's 4th round pick. They can then cut him outright, or go see which other team will give them a 1st to 3rd round pick.

This is a good WR class, so there's not much desperation involved here.
