His injuries make me nervous but you just have to trust whatever the Jets medical report ends up saying about him
JD would be crazy to draft a player, in the top of the draft, that had an awesome year 3 years ago and has done basically very little due to multiple injuries since. Great talent, but injury prone. Now if the Seahawks keep winning and we end up with a pick in the mid-teens and he's still available, I would take a chance. But absolutely not draft him where we stand with our current picks.
On the other hand. Andrew Booth JR has been nothing but healthy and willing to hit as a CB. He could be a top 5 pick. But, I think Stingley will fall, not sure how far though.
Booth had his hammy act up for a game or two. He lacked INTs until recently he had 2 in one game. I like Booth, but doubt he would be a top 5 player, probably a mid round 1 pick at this point. My recent and only mock via simulator, I posted today in the mock thread, I drafted Booth at the top of Rd 2, wishful thinking.
We always get in that situation. I'm passing on him. He has issues, health wise that are concerning. I wonder if that Cincinnati kid is more a product of a good front 4. Didnt see many Cincinnati games. Well see him in bowl game though .
Stingley’s injury history is way overblown. He basically opted out this year as LSU was terrible and going through coaching changes. The year before was Covid and he had a minor foot injury. He shut it down to focus on turning pro. Similar to Jamar Chase his teammate who also has the same representation. This kid is a stud and we’d be foolish not to grab him if he falls to us.
I don’t see him being the pick at 4. They were happy with the corners coming into this year and nothing had happened to change that feeling.
His LSU teammate Eli Ricks could be an option in 2023 when there will be more information to judge the current CB group.
