I would object to the characterization as a stats nerd, but I can't. I repeat what I noted earlier, that I have studiously avoided any mention of clutchness; the things I have talked about refer to overall level of performance. Thus, your point really should be "regarding Derek Jeter's post season performance," which is even sadder if you think about it. As I noted above, barring any truly egregious attack, I don't plan on posting any more about this, since all of my points have been conceded. Someone else can pick up the gauntlet as Yis has suggested, with a statement insulting Herm or UNC basketball, or praising A-Rod or Duke basketball.
I proved my point, others triud to change things up but I proved the point of the original argument and it wasn't about the "clutchness" of Jeter it 2was about the continued good play in postseason wheer other posters said he has been awful for a while when that just wasn't the case.
Listen Im A Mets Fan And I Derek Jeter Is Not Overrated In Any Way Shape Or Form i argue without jeter the yanks dont win a couple of the WS the did....he's clutch, he's a leader, and he's also got a glove to boot....the guy is a first ballot hall of famer IMO oh and he's level headed...a very important intangible....
