Agreed, I’m done trying to rationalize why he’s not playing. Team can still like a guy and him not be in the plans. This is a solid bunch of WR’s right now. It will work itself out.

    Le'veon Bell ran a 4.6 40 at the combine.

Nobody was outplayed by Old man Gore, Gase was helping his pal to 16k yards, once reached he never ran another down.

I don't care for Perine myself tbh but I was just laughing at the fact 0.2 difference goes from ok to pedestrain. That is less time than it takes to type the pe of pedestrian.

Perine is one step away from being cut or out of the league, why are we talking about him. It was not good draft choice. Just like Zuniga and Morgan. He is only on PS cause he was JD pick, and they are holding out faint hope. Honestly, he is on practice squad for anyone’s taking! I wish the all best of luck, to carve out roles, but reality is they are bottom of roster players at best.

His production is nearly identical to Mims's. Mims has a 41 page thread so why are we talking about him so much either?

At least Mims is WR7 on the active roster. Lol.

You bring up interesting point. Has any Baylor player been successful in the league recently?

JaMychal Hasty is on an NFL roster and has had a couple games. Xavien Howard is an All-Pro corner. The programs been very turbulent. I think a lot of times people try to pin a programs lack of successful talent on the program itself, when in actuality, maybe the player was never destined to be very good in general?

their stats aren't identical at all. Mims 16.5 yards per touch. Perine 3.9 yards per touch. So when Mims has gotten the ball he has made big plays and when Perine has gotten the ball he hasn't.

makes perfect sense that Jets fans are wondering why the big play guy isn't playing especially when they are watching the 32nd ranked offense

Thanks didn’t know they went to Baylor. I always think of RG3, he started so promising then got hurt, never same. Then hurt again! We drafted a RB yrs ago, didn’t even make the squad. That conference is famous for inflated production and 1st round busts (doctson), but also has had some generational players (mahomes)…. So I suppose you make a valid point.

You're really going to split hairs about two guys that have 220 and 350 yards in the 9 games they've played in?

Yeah, Mims had a couple fine games in garbage time last year when we were getting crushed. Mims didn't catch a pass against the Chargers until we were down 31-13. He had a nice game versus New England and ok at best games the rest of the way.

Perine also has a couple touchdowns and played behind the worst line in the league last year.

So I don't see a huge production difference, no, but you've already taken the stance that Mims is somehow being atrociously wronged by the Jets staff and front office and you have to continue to back that up.

It’s a big difference. It’s not splitting hairs.

It’s a statistical fact that although neither has gotten much time on the field, one guy has produced more big plays than the other in that limited time.

when you are 2-14 everything is garbage time. That’s a useless fugazi

“Splitting hairs” is keeping a kid who has produced big plays on the bench because you think he doesn’t run your 32nd ranked offense correctly in practice

Yeah man. Denzel Mims is a monster at producing big plays. He has like four career catches over 20 yards in 12 games. Maybe less.

You laugh and yet that’s more than Jeff Smith and Braxton Berrios.

And definitely more than any of the 4 shit ass TEs LaFleur uses so much

Using your production without context method of analyzing the numbers - both Berrios and Jeff Smith have been more productive than Mims this year.

no shit. Cause Mims is inactive every week. 1 pass thrown his way all year. (He caught it for 40 yards by the way)
