lies I was one of his biggest supporters saying he should be getting more carries than Shitt Greene

He's showing some great ability this season. I still don't think he's that great, but he's got decent hands, good vision, and holds onto the ball. Not the most powerful or elusive guy, but he's doing a good job at hitting the holes.

I was a big Powell supporter last season. I hope he keeps it up.

Before my constructive criticism, I do like him as a back. He could be better though.

Powell tends to leave yards on the field at times. He has what other coaches and myself call "Saturday Night Fever", which is where you put on moves instead of moving up field. It's tough to correct such a thing, some guys just have a natural instinct to juke, jive, slide, and spin for no reason. Watch Powell run, and you will notice times where if he just went up field, he would gain a few more yards. This kind of thing makes it hard for him to be a short yardage guy.

His SNF isn't the worst I've seen, but I'd like to see a few less moves. I wish he would get another game or 2 at 25(ish) carries, and then we could get a real feel for the type of back that he is. The Jets definitely need one straight line bruiser for inside short yardage situations.

Javid best would be a nice pickup as a game changer when powell is tired. We released goodson and Best would be a nice replacement .

Powell is really starting to grow on me. I was really big on Ivory coming into the season, but he hasn't proved anything yet. Powell is really a jack of all trades. He doesn't do any one particular thing exceptionally, but he gets the job done. No questions asked.

When a Bloods gang member misses putting a cap in his ass that tells me he needs to seriously bulk up a bit!

So my son (a life long Dallas fan, don't ask me why) talks me into joining my first fantasy league. My kid takes Bilal Powell, RB, NYJ in the 2nd round. This was a month ago before we played our first game. WTF? I'm thinking. He says "Your a Jets fan, I was surprised you didn't take him with your first pick!".

    I hate kids.

Uh ya...we don't need anymore injury prone RB's. And when did we release Goodson??

He received ALOT of undeserved basing on here. I always thought he would be a solid, yet unspectacular RB, but needed some blocking upfront. Looked how 2009 Shonn Greene turned into 2011 Shonn Greeene as the line went to shit......

Also Charlie Casserley (sp?) who has a worthy opinion gave high praise to that pick at the time and said it may have been their best pick and one of the better value picks of the draft.

    wait, they released Goodson?!?!

I picked up Powell last round of my draft. Pretty happy with that so far. I knew no one would take him.

We did not release Goodson. Today's game is the last of his suspension and then he's back next week.

I don't know where you're getting your info, but he's still on this team.
