There are a lot of unofficial pages for people out there but if you click on his pic it has a few others and one looks like a pic of his kids so it might actually be his page. Not positive though and he would still have to reply to a message.
We should start a movement to get it officially retired - oh and find Byrd again. Shouldn't be THAT hard.
I just friend requested him, told him about my Pops, he should remember him so I'll find out soon enough hopefully.
the parking lot maybe, thats because the state police were heading out tickets to everyone that park outside the gate
Nagle did start most of the games, mainly because of O'Brien's holdout but also because Bruce Coslet never liked O'Brien and was eager to replace him. After the 5-0 preseason and encouraging first game Nagle struggled and when O'Brien got to play he eventually won the stating job back. In the Kansas City game in which Byrd suffered his injury, I'm pretty sure O'Brien hurt his thumb and was out for the year, putting Nagle back in. I'm pretty sure it was that game but not 100% sure. The other QB on the roster that year who never got a shot was Jeff Blake, who later made the Pro Bowl for the Bengals playing for Coslet. That off-sseason the Jets brought in Boomer, holding the infamous press conference with Boomer holding up his #7 jersey while O'Brien was still on the active roster. O'Brien ended up signing with Philadelphia and playing for Rich Kotite in 1993, I think he later went to Green Bay but never played there.
I sent him a message and did a wall post. Still nothing- For some reason I'm skeptical that's really him.
I know but from being there my educated guess is alot less than 57,000. I started going to every game in 1990 and late in years from '90-'96 the average crowds were about 40,000. The only big crowd I remember was the finale in '96 but that was against Miami and we always had good crowds against Miami even if we stunk.
I guess at that age it always seemed full to me. lol As a kid nothing was better then walking down to our seats and see that huge greed field.
Usually early in the year the building was full but in years we were done by oct/Nov like 1992 it was pretty empty by late Nov/Dec. All tickets were sold but we were so bad people didn't show up after paying for the tickets.
