Wrong, there is actually a yawning chasm of a difference between being investigated, prosecuted and fucking convicted by a jury of your peers only to skate away because you're pals with the President to being investigated with no further action. Not sure why this even needed to be pointed out. But yeah, the fix was in, what an outrage.
$250K fine, 2 years supervised release, 400 hrs. community service, loss of job, disbarment vs. no indictment I think he should have gotten more, like the original 30 month sentence at least, just like I think Clinton should, at a minimum, have no future security clearance. Forgive me for assuming you felt a conviction equaled no indictment.
They're going to go after her for perjury now. Apparently she had previously said under oath that she never sent or received classified material on her private server. Comey said she did in his presser and confirmed it today in the congressional hearing. Maybe we can get a Husband-Wife impeachment combo?
If the House or Senate has a reasonable perjury case to make and they bring it in the next few weeks there's no way Hillary is going to be the nominee. If they have that case though they'll probably wait until after the election to make it. Nobody really wants to elect Trump at this point, the GOP is just trapped with him and has nowhere to go without making it worse.
Not a chance. Most of the GOP would much rather run against Hillary for the next 4 years as opposed to trying to salvage the party if Trump wins and co-exist with him. He's a deal maker. He's going to be talking to all the wrong people to try to get stuff passed, (Democrats, Putin, the EU, etc.) He's also going to be thoroughly re-working the existing GOP power structure and he's going to be doing it from a position of strength.
Bah. There's just no possible way anyone in this administration would allow a damning report to be released between now and Election Day. Or, maybe that's the thing - they can be "looking into it" until 2018 and that allows Hillary to respond with some horseshit like, "I look forward to the State Department's internal review" all the way up to November. Or, worst case, this "review" will go on quietly through the summer, and then right after Labor Day a report will be dropped late on a Friday, and it will say something like, "While the Secretary and her staff were careless, there's no evidence that any laws or department policies were violated, and no evidence that any classified information was released into the public domain by hacking or otherwise." I didn't expect anything of this email thing before and I don't expect it now. What I DO expect is that the Clintons will continue on in this world, day-in day-out, farting and blaming it on the dog.
The amazing part is that they have somehow harnessed the power of that fart and turned it into a buck. Or millions of them, as it were.
Speaking of no charges... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_White_House_email_controversy Why are all the conservatives not posting in the Republican thread? Is Trump THAT boring since he's reading off the teleprompter now?
Don't worry cman ... perjury investigation forthcoming. I don't know how she'll wiggle out of that one, but I'm sure she will. Trump is no conservative. He's a NYC liberal running as a Republican.
