You know everytime you mention big ultra Conservative donors like the Kochs involved in politics all you hear from the right is "well what about George Soros or others." Now if you want to talk about standardized pat answers and talking points from the right that's one of them. IMO Soros and the others are not as influential and institutionalized as the Kochs and others. Who are involved in local and state politics and specific issues like being against ObamaCare and financing a campaign against it. The Kochs are way over 30 mil. He even admitted to over 300 mil just for this Presidential campaign on Fox News. Many critics say it's a lot more like a billion. But why not all of them left and right cease and desist. Soros, the Kochs, etc.

Both parties are so deep in the pockets of big business the only way out is to completely remove them from the equation, that is the one part of Sanders platform I am on board with.
Implement a tax to fund all elections after the candidate shows he has collected a set amount from individual donors at no more than a few hundred per person. This should open up more third party candidates which would bring things more to the center giving a much better chance of things going done.

If a Repub is elected President and they keep both Houses the first thing that's going to happen is approval of the Keystone XL. It was the first bill this current Congress voted for and approved. The Kochs have no problem spending a billion on this election to get this through.

Get your facts straight, the $300 mil number, which isn't even the correct number, is for Koch and a group of 300 other like minded people.

And good point about Soros, he also donates more than Koch.

Just not sure how an answer that directly addresses what you were talking about and has donation numbers of much higher amounts going to Dems is considered a pat answer. Could it be that you keep bringing up the same talking point about the Koch Bros and people have to continually remind you that Dems get just as much if not more from their big money backers?

I think I said that I'm against it on both sides. I'd love to eliminate it completely. And Bernie is right about Citizen's United. But you're wrong about the total money spent by the Koch's and their influence. Not just in elections but through many organizations they sponsor and finance like the Heritage Foundation and many many others.

If he's not sounding like a complete neophyte defending the innocent democrats and blasting those big bad republicans he's sounding like an idiot posting articles he doesn't understand with the caveat "hey I'm no expert here, this is just something I read".

Again nothing constructive just a personal attack. If you think the Kochs are misunderstood nice guys and targets of liberals you don't know what you're talking about. It's not a question of both sides being equally bad, either. And I don't claim to be an expert and admit it. And neither are any of you.

How is it not a question of both sides being equally bad? What does that even mean? Either you are saying only the republicans are affected by the money they get or that it affects them equally but in that case it is not worth bringing up unless we are discussing removing the donations.

Some of us may not be experts but we can bring up salient points rather than just throwing out the same talking points over and over

It's funny that this joker decries standardized pat answers yet mentions the big bad Kochs in every other attack post.

    It's infantile.

You're the only one derailing this thread. And since when did you have to be an expert to post on the BS Forum. Give me a break.

Hey. He's not an expert and admits it.

That gives him free license to repeat liberal talking points over and over and over again.

Did you know there were 300 million guns in America?

    300 million.

    Guns.

    In America.

I'm no expert but that sounds like a lot.

I'm not derailing anything, I'm pointing out your ignorance and faux naïveté.

Yeah and your right wing talking points are ok. You bring up the Kochs and the counter is automatically Soros, etc. This is a standard GOP talking point. But we agree on one thing: it would be a lot better country without either of them.

Well if that's true then make your case. Don't just say it, anyone can do that. Your point isn't supposed to be on me its supposed to be on the issue about the Kochs and others like Soros. No intelligent comments? Or just being an idiot again.
