As for this, why did Russia all of a sudden annex Crimea? That was their countermove against the EU/US orchestrated revolution in the Ukraine. As soon as the new government was installed, they began talking about joining the EU and NATO, which would place NATO missiles right on the Russian border. Putin had to do something and he did what he did. The US did impose economic sanctions afterwards. Not enough? Do you think we should have armed the Ukrainian army, like that headcase McCain suggested?

Syria was an almost identical scenario. Putin had to protect Russia's interests (their only naval base in the Mediterranean) there and he did. Was he supposed to just sit and watch it get taken over by the US sponsored rebels/terrorists or ISIS (another gem of the US foreign policy)?

As far as "killing mercilessly", Muslims have been doing it to themselves for centuries, but yet you're complaining about Russia. Hypocrisy at its finest!

Well Petro as someone who is really into Politics, you failed to give the right answer about Muslims. Back in the 80'ies, USA was the most popular Western country in the eyes of Muslims. After something, USA was the number 1 enemy. Please google it and see it with your eyes. Keyword: Why do Muslims hate America? Open the first few articles. You will see the same answer. Israel.

Now, you probably don't remember but in this very board, I said before anyone, Muslims themselves have to step up against ISIS and other terrorists. I also added many times, if ISIS is Muslim, then I am not. If I am Muslim then ISIS is not. I condemned their killings both on here and on Turkish, Arabic message boards. Even in my previous message, I said USA is responsible to do something against the killings of ISIS and Russia. So I am not leaving Muslims out of the equation. So no hypocrisy on my end.

Tell me. Don't you find any moral obligation for USA to do something in Syria? In the end nobody told your idiot Republicans to start another crusade over Iraq which caused all this mess. Tell me I am wrong. Tell me USA did nothing wrong in Middle East so it should stay away from Human tragedy now.

You don't think I knew this is exactly what was coming from you? :) So, let me give you one example and then I am done discussing this subject in the DNC nomination thread, as we have derailed it long enough already.

There's one country in Europe who's always the first to cry foul whenever Israel kills another "innocent" Palestinian. That country is Sweden. That country used to set standards in quality of life. Now that country is the rape capital of the West and most of those rapes are committed by Muslim migrants. So, Muslims and Sweden have one thing in common - they both hate Israel. Shouldn't these Muslims migrants be at least grateful to their Israel hating hosts? Instead, they repay them by raping their women :) Like I said, Muslims don't hate just America, or any particular Western country. They hate the Western way of life and use Western liberal policies to exploit it. As for Israel, it's just an excuse. They would be savaging all over Europe just as much if Israel did not exist.

I'm not Muslim so I'm probably not qualified to answer but I will give you my opinion. Muslims, as many others, hate that which they cannot control. They hate the concepts of freedom of, and from, religion and separation of church and state. They see their children becoming educated against their wishes and broadening their minds to the point where centuries old traditions of ignorance and hate are slipping away from their control.

They see the futility of battling for worthless piles of sand and rocks and the insanity of destruction for the sake of destruction but they are too egotistical to admit that there may be a better life for their families if they abandon at least some of their self defeating practices so they lash out at the largest target they find in order to impress their largely ignorant masses.

No Mr Ralebird. You are wrong but if one of you start a thread about why Muslims hate America then we can discuss there. No reason to derail this thread.

Shocking that a right winger like you would be a Sanders supporter.

    Oh wait! I get it!

btw, while I don't support Bernie I do at least have respect for him. He's a very principled guy, leading by example and has more character in his little toe than Hillary ever had.

If trump wins the GOP nomination I hope he doesn't have to face Bernie.

I'll agree with everything here but the ignorant part. Many Muslims are indoctrinated from childhood to believe the world follows one order and everybody who does not follow that order is an infidel who is not worth much.

The fundamentalist Islamic world is living in about the 12th century from a Western European point of view. They're crusading to recapture their own lands from the influence of the decadent West, who do not believe as they do and whose influence is spreading year after year over their lands.

Israel, like the Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 12th century, is just a focal point for their desire to rid themselves of Western influences and the presence of Westerners in their lands.

Many Muslims in the region are neither ignorant nor indoctrinated in religious fundamentalism. Most of these people live in lands where expressing their views would either be dangerous or futile.

One of the ironies of the Western interventions in the Middle East recently is that two of the lands free of Islamic Fundamentalism were our targets. Iraq and Syria both had secular societies dominated by dictators who kept the fundamentalists in check. Their people were not happy with the arrangement but many of them are less happy with the Islamic crusaders that we unleashed by our interventions.

Our foreign policy is toxic for the Middle East. It has been toxic for the Middle East since WWI and Israel has nothing to do with that. If we had acted the way we have with a full Palestinian homeland in place we would still be hated the way we are and for the same reasons.

If you want an outsider, really an outsider, you can't get better than Trump or Sanders.

I agree, it's stupid. But one could view it as simple redistribution of the votes. While Hildabeast didn't earn those votes, it's more fair if everyone has equal votes. Bernie shouldn't have all the votes to himself, there were plenty of delegates to go around.

As mentioned in the article, the super delegates are politicians and they can change their vote. Just like almost every politician I'm sure they will change their vote to get behind a winner. To them, right now Hillary looks like a winner. If the Bern continues to grow I have no doubt that the politicians will follow the masses.

FWIW...The Russians invaded while Carter was President...(hmmmm...sensing a pattern here)...and it is not unreasonable to think that the U.S. Did little in order to keep Russia tied up in it's very own Vietnam, and gain i tel on Russian military equipment...

Big picture...weak American presidents lead to disaster.

So not only are we blaming Reagan for creating the AIDS virus to kill all the gays, we're now blaming him for helping create the Taliban, enabling Bin Laden and ultimately knocking down the Twin Towers?

    Geezuz fuck.

So, when the Mayflower hit Plymouth Rock...they should have said ..."Oops...our bad.you were here first" then headed back? I do follow you vis-a-vis native peoples...however...that's kind of a byproduct of advancing Civilization in general...
