https://twitter.com/RefereeJimD/with_replies probably is who he's referring to, he's ESPN's rules analyst, before that he was a supervisor of officials for 11 years and before that an official for 12.
Do you seriously think this will be swept under the rug or the evidence burned again like it was last time? Way too many news services have weighed in on it this time and they are all watching.
Thanks ....I feel like you have this image of a soft deflated ball in your head,Its barley noticable witch is why they got away with it.Do an experiment and find out for yourself witch I'm surprised hasn't been done yet on one of these talk shows
OK - so out of these suspects all but the officials and ball boy are employed by the Pats, right? So what would be the motive of the non patriots employees? Ball boy? Officials?
the only way to ensure a cheat free Super Bowl is to ban Belichick from preparations, and from the sideline. suspension effective today. in addition there needs to be draft pick penalties to dissuade from further activity. apparently, the draft pick penalty and heavy fine in the past was not enough. time to step it up..
Lol exactly, there still in the Superbowl either way there's nothing is gonna change that until someone knocks them off for good
I'm thinking one or more of the officials deflated 11 balls. Because of all they have to gain from that. It's the only conclusion one can draw. _
Could happen during plays or immediately after scoring when everyone is going ape-shit. Maybe they have a specially made devise attached to a pin that sucks air out very rapidly to the desired PSI. Would only need 1-2 seconds per ball.
It was just on ESPN and Mark Brunell flipped out at the difference, as if he just discovered fire. He's prob thinking of making a comeback now.
If this is done, and they win, it accomplishes nothing. People will have nothing to bitch about. Better to mete out punishment after the fact
They actually are not given back to the team that way. The deflating would have to have happened on the sidelines. Why stop there when you can just burn him at the stake during halftime? I'm still waiting for official news.
Never said they deflated it. Ignorance on their part. That also puts NE at fault of some wrong doing, but the officials are looking pretty dumb right now. That's a bad look for the league as well given the scrutiny they received this season. Don't all Jets fans believe that we pay the refs anyways? This is your chance to shine, blame the refs, we paid them to ignore it all until those dang Colts got in the way of our medling! Ball boys are employed by the league I believe, but are local, presumably fans. That alone is motivation, of course, he'd have to be very smart to know that it could help given that they're still kids or he was approached and requested to do so.
This is the "all star officiating crew", with so much deniability in this case who's going to take the fall for this?
Who cares how dumb the refs look? The Patriots look like scumbag cheaters that they've always been accused of. Ball boys are local kids and MASSIVE fans of the team. And no, none of them are smart enough to--ON THEIR OWN--conspire to give the Patriots an illegal advantage. _
