Yet you feel compulsively obsessed to continuously come to a Jets fan board to defend what the dumbest country in the western world considers an organization of methodical and systematic cheating--the Patriots. That's dumb. Oh, the ironing. _
You talk about needing facts to back up your argument and then proceed to quote those same tabloid sources to back up your belief that the Patriots did nothing wrong. Those same sources you call people morons for believing. I guess that makes you a moron and a hypocrite. I didn't say it was a fact that NE deflated footballs. Do I think they deflated them? Yes, but I am willing to wait and see what the investigation turns up and go from there. I was only responding to a post that said he didn't understand where the idea of a national perception of NE cheating comes from. He thought it was just from an ESPN poll that he doesn't believe, so I chimed in with my personal experience with talking with people from all over the country. More people than not that I talk to think they are cheaters. Now, I haven't talked with everyone in the world, so maybe I just ran into the groups of people who think poorly of the Patriots reputation and the rest of the world thinks they are full of integrity. I seriously doubt it. When you have a team that was found guilty of cheating already, and suspicious circumstances like the evidence being destroyed when supposedly it only showed what the team said they already did, most people aren't going to give that team the benefit of doubt when they are under investigation for cheating again. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it isn't just that way in the USA. The guy that stole something in the past is going to be the first guy that is looked at when something is stolen again. It's just human nature. ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.boston.com/sports/footba...statement_on_patriots_videotaping_1210805084/ WHAT WE KNOW: The Patriots engaged in extensive videotaping of opponents’ offensive and defensive signals starting on August 20, 2000 and extending to September 9, 2007, when they were publicly caught videotaping the Jets. The Patriots took elaborate steps to conceal their filming of opponents’ signals. Patriots personnel instructed Walsh to use a “cover story” if anyone questioned him about the filming. For example, if asked why the Patriots had an extra camera filming, he was instructed to say that he was filming “tight shots” of a particular player or players or that he was filming highlights. If asked why he was not filming the play on the field, he was instructed to say that he was filming the down marker. The red light indicating when his camera was rolling was broken. During at least one game, the January 27, 2002 AFC Championship game, Walsh was specifically instructed not to wear anything displaying a Patriots logo. Walsh indicated he turned the Patriots sweatshirt he was wearing at the time inside-out. Walsh was also given a generic credential instead of one that identified him as team personnel. These efforts to conceal the filming demonstrate the Patriots knew they were violating NFL rules. ---------------------------------------- Filming 2000 - 2007. Championships, 02, 03, 04. I'll let you do the math on that one. Other teams may have used TV footage to obtain defensive signals, but I don't believe any other team filmed them like NE or went nearly as far. Goodell could have easily proved that NE was only doing what everyone else was, but instead he punished them before looking at the tapes, and then destroyed them. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why. * * *, and the 4th is under investigation.
Take this with a grain of salt, I'm not even sure it's confirmed yet that the only ball severely deflated was the one intercepted by the Colts, but it is believed by most to be that ball. http://nesn.com/2015/02/adam-schefter-there-are-people-who-believe-colts-deflated-patriots-football/ Schefter does say there are people who believe the Colts' did it, but won't say if it's friends, family, coworkers, or sources, he's too professional. But when Schefter speaks, the NFL world listens because he is probably the last TRUE professional left, and his silence and lack of opinion on "Deflate gate" should be a sign to others to do the same.
http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/curran-hiding-behind-integrity-nfl-loses-dignity Curran: Hiding behind ‘integrity’, NFL loses dignity February 7, 2015, 1:45 pm “Integrity of the game” is the noble defense the NFL gives for its Ahab-like pursuit of the New England Patriots. Meanwhile, the dignity of the game keeps circling the drain. You can blame and vilify Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Charles Haley, Don Shula, Cris Carter, Troy Aikman, Mark Brunell for grabbing torches and pitchforks over “Deflategate.” But make no mistake, the NFL lit every torch and sharpened every pitchfork by allowing this to go where it has. The league doesn’t have documented PSIs from before the game? It has no visual proof of a person releasing air pressure? It only has one football handled by the Colts that’s kinda soft and the rest are barely soft? The NFL really has nothing but sour grapes accusations from individuals with axes to grind? Screw it. Let the case be tried in the court of public opinion with leaked “evidence.” And where are we now almost three weeks since the Patriots hammered the Colts and four weeks since Tom Brady advised John Harbaugh to “study the rule book?” We are spending Saturday watching the flames lick at the resume of the greatest player of all-time, Jerry Rice. Which sucks. Rice’s legacy is now collateral damage in Deflategate because of the NFL’s execution of this investigation (Interestingly, it was a “review” for the first few days until the league got backed into a corner by the Bill Belichick-Tom Brady press conferences – then it became an investigation). And the 49ers decades-old salary cap violations and punishments are being dragged out of the closet. Haley’s proclivity for sexual harassment of teammates. Even Shula’s negotiating to become Dolphins head coach while still head coach of the Baltimore Colts back in 1971, a move that cost Miami a first-round pick because of a tampering charge. Legends of the game, rolling around in the mud, tearing at hair and gouging at eyes. Why? Because the game’s governors let a thirst for Bill Belichick and the Patriots blood blind them to what would happen if they put this “Deflategate” chum in the water as the Patriots were about to win a fourth Super Bowl and trump the legacies of all those Hall of Fame coaches and players. I know what the Niners were. And Montana. And Rice. And Bill Walsh. I don’t think there’s ever been a better team assembled than the 1989 49ers. I give no craps about Stickum. Or cap violations. I know what the 1970s Steelers were. Chuck Noll, Terry Bradshaw, Jack Lambert and the Rooneys. I don’t care to plumb their PED usage from 40 years ago. But that’s where we are right now, the NFL filing its nails while former players and coaches, fans and media drag the lake for evidence of dirty-dealing. Everybody up on their high horse trying to knock the other side into the mud of some benign BS. Good job, NFL. Good effort. I scoffed when Robert Kraft had the gall to demand an apology from the league if it found no evidence of wrongdoing. Now? I think he’s right. Regardless of what the “findings” are, the NFL owes everyone an apology for the embarrassment that ensued after a not-firm-enough football was found. Roger? Where does Jerry Rice go to get his reputation back?
Is it just me or did everyone in the media miss the section of the rulebook that says the gloves are (and were) allowed to be "tackified"? - there's a specific exemption in the rules for the gloves.
Keeping track, the latest excuses are (1) the Colts deflated the intercepted ball to frame the Pats and (2) other people admitted to cheating in the last 20 years so we deserve an apology. Keep shoveling.
Hey loser douchebag. Nobody is reading your 10,000 character bullshit excuse. Spy gate. Tape gate. Headset gate. Murder gate. Deflate gate. GFY gate. _
What excuses? No need for excuses. It looks more and more like the Pats did nothing wrong and you guys just can't stand the thought of it.
Yep, you just can't take it. You've always been a stupid fuck anyway. Now you start calling names and attacking me. The next time you post something that isn't total horseshit will be the first time.
I'm not desperate for anything asshole. Regardless what happens my team just won a SB. Whats pathetic is numb fucks like you who can't even argue without being a giant douchebag who really has nothing to say.
You started calling me names and... Noe you're gonna report me? That's about what I would expect from a suckhole like you.
You couldn't pay me to go on the Patriots board. Because I have no interest in your team. If the Jets are accused of cheating I'm not going to make any lamo excuses for them. Let them man up and take their fine. I really hope they get you for a first rounder too since you gave the NFL a hundred million dollars worth of bad publicity when they have enough already.
Of course you wouldn't. Unless you are compulsively obsessed with trying to convince the world you aren't cheaters. _
Preach it man.....this sums the seriousness of it in a nutshell. Walsh has all the cargo, most likely threatened to clam it.....he gave those interviews but the nfl decided to let it all slide It's all a faux organization, sham....the titles are all more than tainted I want the league to suddenly fold in 5-10 yrs
