I'm reverse. I can't deal with a bad coach. No one knows if its on the GM if your coach sucks and Bowles sucks. The talent might be there but we can't know because Bowles has no idea what he's doing. I think Macc can fill this team with talent either through the draft, UDFA or free agency. I have zero confidence Bowles can coach. The coach is the face of the franchise, sets the starters, game plan, hires the other coaches and gives it an identity.

I understand, and agree to a certain degree with your point. I just look at KC when Andy got there, they had a good roster and he turned it around in one year. He could not have done that with a bad roster.


TB may be a bad HC but if Mac has a good draft and TB is still not doing anything with it, he gets canned and hopefully his replacement will have something to work with.

so let me get this straight...there are separate ILB and OLB coaches. Ugh...talk about creating jobs man!

today's quality control position is the technological equivalent to the offensive/defensive/generic "intern" prior to the microprocessor.

 

I think it's the Texans who have an assistant coach whose title is "Football Research."
