My two cents. With as many major holes as we have you can hardly go wrong with BPA over and over at almost any position, Pass Rusher, LB, OL, TE, WR, CB and safety. I wouldn’t be unhappy with any mix if is best value player. I don’t care if it’s two LB and a Pass rusher with the first three if the board is favorable. I also think we need to bring in a grey beard to help Saleh, a QB guru and some help for the defensive coordinator. This coaching staff is over their head.

Draft picks should be all defense. This defense is disgustingly bad. even today, Tua played like dog shit and his team still put up 31 on the Jets. Imagine if Tua didn’t completely suck? That coulda/shoulda been another 45-50 point game
This is the real mind blowing thing for me. I swear the combined IQ of our last couple GM's is about 80. Aaron Donald is a total anomaly. Interior DL's who effectively rush the passer are EXTREMELY uncommon. Instead of realizing this we just bang our head against the wall over and over and expect a different result. We are totally incapable of rushing the passer in a league that has been increasingly trending towards offensive passing attacks for at least 15 years. It would be hard to be as incompetent as the Jets are even if you were trying to be. The NFL is designed very carefully to maximize parity and we still can never consistently improve.
I love Bart Scott but I think what we need is a great technical DC at this point. If Saleh remains he's going to be the rah-rah guy. We need the guy who uses X's and O's to stop the opposing offense consistently.
The talent level is college worthy. In many positions, even before injuries, there were 2nd 3rd string and practice squad guys. After Lawson and Curry went down in training camp, it was a major disadvantage. Then Maye went down and all the scrubs were forced to step up. They just are not good. If we had real DC this D would look a lot better! Yeah talent lacking but man not being able to set the edge, and make simple tackles, that is fundamentals. This D is historically bad and the coaching or lack thereof is major contributor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Get 3 high picks for defense - all three levels. Edge LB and a S. It’ll look like a new defense plus a couple of FAs. The offense needs to grow - they’ve been coming around but need more beef up front and Wilson to work out his kinks. A dependable TE would do wonders ….
I'm actually confident they'll find a TE in the draft to fit the scheme. The only question is when will that player get hurt?
Injuries in the NFL are crazy these days... But if be curious to see the numbers specifically to MetLife. There's just tons of injuries between the jets and Giants and I'd be curious to see how that stadium stacks up to others. Probably hard to quantify though
Ulbrich needs to stop running cover 1 on every single 3rd down. Feels like the Jets often get teams to 3rd down and then give up an easy 3rd down conversion because the other team runs a basic man-beating concept.
