They were eminently catchable by any NFL standard. Watch tape of Rodgers, Mahomes, whoever you want and see many similar passes caught instead of dropped.
I doubt Douglas pays that price. Again, are AJ Brown and DK Metcalf off the table for sure at this point?
2 first round picks? LOL. Maybe if we can trade #10 for #29 & #30, we can give them two firsts. But the idea of giving away #4 and #10 for one player -- he's a good player, but we aren't far enough along in the rebuilding process to give away our draft for one player.
4 and 10 would be a lot more than Watson got and Watson is the biggest trade I can recall for a current player in terms of trade value since Herschel Walker. 4 by itself us almost equal to the Watson trade. No one is giving up anything close to that. The Hill trade was huge in terms of value given up and that was not even worth the 10th pick. There is a difference between being aggressive and reckless.
Jeopardy move. See you in SF Debbo. Alex I'll take two WRs with the 10th and 2nd round pick for $9M/year total please..
Two 1st's for Deebo is basically SF saying "We're not trading him unless you want to be REALLY stupid". I don't think JD is REALLY stupid. Maybe we can still get Brown or Metcalf. If not, give me Williams at 10 please.
0% chance Deebo is a Jet if that's the true asking price. We move...onto Wilson/London/Williams at #10!
I'm laughing my ass off. NJ.com just had a mock block buster trade for the Jets to get Debbo. 4th, 10th AND Elijah Moore. https://www.nj.com/giants/2022/04/n...s-deebo-samuel-blockbuster-deal-analysis.html What and absolute pile of crap write up. Not even Mac would do anything that stupid.
NJ.com is a clickbait site. Most of the time they post other articles with catchy headlines just to click. They might be worse than ESPN in terms of lack of substance and misleading headlines. You can also see it in the decline of Cimini's writing since he left the DN. He spends so much time now advertising and promoting ESPNs garbage clickbait journalists like McShay and Kiper causing him to limit the substance in his articles even more as no one at ESPN cares about substance or quality just clicks.
I think we know that JD isn’t going to trade 4 and 10 for Deebo. We also know that 49 ers will take more than just a 10th pick to trade Deebo. I think JD will not do anything until what happens with their 4th pick and Thursday night. That’s my take.
Two first round picks for Deebo? Who does he think he is? Jamal Adams? Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Saw this as a "win win" trade on nfl.com & I'm really pondering if I really ever knew what a win is & its definition. This trade is absolutely absurd. NEW YORK RECEIVES: WR Deebo Samuel SAN FRANCISCO RECEIVES: WR Elijah Moore Round 1, 2022: No. 10 overall Round 2, 2022: No. 35 OK, I’ll bite on the Deebo drama. The math supports the reunion of Samuel with his former coaching staff in New York as being the optimal situation for Zach Wilson to succeed in the passing game this season. Known entities that possess Samuel’s talent level have improved their QBs' passing production; further, younger QBs have been helped considerably when surrounded by players with elite ability (e.g., Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs; Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins; Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase). Despite the package they give up for Samuel in this scenario, the Jets still have a first- (No. 4), second- (No. 38) and high third-rounder (No. 69) this year. They also have the salary-cap potential to work out a new contract that matches Samuel's value. Samuel isn't the only 49er in line for a new deal, as Nick Bosa could get a long-term contract this offseason, too. In this trade scenario, the 49ers think they have a better chance of finding their new top receiver in the 2022 draft than they do their new top edge rusher.
LOL I just posted about this. That looks like a madden trade with force trade turned on. Pitful in what we are giving up
But NJ.com didn't write it. Cynthia Frelund from NFL Network wrote about it and NJ.com linked the article. The number four pick is not part of the deal which is Moore, number ten and number 35 for Samuel. That's quite a big difference.
