I would like to believe Milliner looked good out there, but he didn't. Not to make excuses for NE, but their wideout talent with Amendola out is probably worse than the Jets'. They have Edelman and not much else. Austin Collie, really?

In short he did not look like a first round pick. I am inclined to give him a break due to his being hurt, but that's a problem, too.

    He doesn't inspire confidence.

Gotta stay on the field to learn and get better. He doesn't seem to be able to manage to do even that. Not holding out a lot of hope based on what I've seen so far.

Not even gonna begin to make judgments about the guy until he's strung together several weeks of practices and game action.

he was a sure-fire bust that most here predicted and were upset with the pick in the draft thread. he was a reactionary pick to losing revis. will go down as a gholston-esque draft blunder

Both of these positions seem a bit too strong for me. Miliner suffered from his injuries and not being in camp (to at least be in the classroom). Further, he's not made the most of his opportunities o the field. That being said, I'm not sure that he's too far off compared to other cornerbacks taken in the '13 draft. Miliner's certainly got the talent to turn it around. Patience will pay off. (Take your pick with any of the young talent that's progressively improving.) And if it doesn't pay off, then he'll be let go or cut.

TL;DR: Kid needs time. Jury's out.

After the awful showing he had against the Pats first time around, I thought it was a huge improvement yesterday. That one play where he got totally turned around on a simple in route was awful, but other than that I was pretty happy with his performance.

Cro gets beat on slants and posts on a regular basis so I'm not too worried about Dee getting beat as of now.

I hold you to that, an I hope your right, I see him as a always injured, complete bust, but I hope I'm wrong, no really I do.

Remember the movie "Unbreakable" with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. Dee is Mr. Glass. Watch the movie the similarities are uncanny, with the exception that Jackson's character can speak inteligible English.

I didn't think her played that poorly at all. Besides, give the kid some time, he's gonna be a good one. It is tough to play well as a corner in rex's system right out if the gate. Look at Cro a couple of seasons ago. He played terribly even as a vet. Now, he is much better. Give Dee some time.

He was being talked about as possibly the best player in the draft? How is that sure-fire bust?

Calling ANY rookie with just a few games under their belt a huge bust is the dumbest thing ever.

It's like calling an infant 'retarded' because he doesn't know his ABCs.

He doesn't look like Revis after four games. That = bust. :)

Gholstonesque -- really???? Are you smoking crack???? 7 games into his rookie season, and missing games due to injury, he has already seen more snaps than Gholston did for his entire tenure with Jets. Gholston was so bad he couldn't even make the field.

  16. Yeah the Gholston comparison is really poor. Say what you will about him but he's performing at an average level for a CB at this stage. That at the very least far surpasses him of Gholston's level.

Frankly I don't think he's playing that badly. He's hard to beat deep, generally tackles well..the underneath stuff will get better as his confidence does.

Umm, did you not watch the first half i take it? He was getting abused by a 3rd stringer in Austin Collie. It was embarassing....

He was getting abused by none other then Austin freaking Collie. He also looked like garbage against the Bucs and was benched in NE for looking lost in coverage. The fact that he isnt getting beat deep is just a testament to him giving an 8-10 yard cushion to literally every receiver because he doesnt trust his skills to play up on him. Its a small sample size but he is so far looking like Kyle Wilson 2.0. Would love to get a larger sample size at the end of the year with more playing time and actually staying healthy.

Kyle Wilson also had a nice game against Brady once Rex and Thurman made those halftime adjustments and turned the front seven loose to cause Tammi to wet her panties

I still feel it is a net bad draft pick to use a first round pick as a nickel back. But yes, Kyle Wilson played well against NE.

Imo, Milliner not so much, although he looked much better than in the first game against NE.
