2014 LCB - Dee Milliner FS - ??? SS - Antonio Allen RCB - Antonio Cromartie 2015 LCB -Dee Milliner FS - same guy we drafted to play in 2014 SS - Antonio Allen RCB - ??? That's how I think it is going to go.
Unless he restructures and takes significantly less I can see Cro being gone. They are not going to pay him $9.5 Mil next year. There are going to be a few young FA CB's out there this off season that can fill his role.
With the shit ton of child support he owes based on his income I wonder if the courts would even allow him to 'voluntarily' work for less money and thus pay less child support.
He could make less money, but still pay the CS at his current rate. Just means less pocket money. Just ask my bro in law how that works.
He has earned 24 million over the last three years and has a financial advisor that has him driving a Prius. I think that he got his act together and has planned appropriately from a financial perspective. If I remember correctly there was an article out some time ago that discussed this.....yup....just dug it up. Here you go... http://www.forbes.com/sites/darrenh...fixes-finances-with-help-of-business-manager/
Outside of maybe Cromartie next year that's definitely how it should go. I think there's an argument that the risk of his level of play falling off following the injury and age might not warrant the big salary. An argument could be made to bring in a stop gap FA CB with a portion of the cap savings and use the rest towards a premium FA like Ward or a skill position player on offense. Not sure what the right answer is but it seems like a valid alternative. It might also be a little less likely because Rex doesn't seem to value Walls highly, and that would be a big factor in cutting ties with Cro. Allen is another young guy that has been underutilized imo this year, and while I'd love to see him being the full time SS focusing on developing or adding an FS, I'm not sure they'll follow through on that either, despite Allen's play seemingly earning that respect. Misery loves company. It wouldn't be very devastating if he stopped wasting time addressing posts at me though.
I really hope that the full offseason and training camp will help this kid out. He played his best game last week so let's hope it's so,etching he can improve on
Dee Milliner is improving leap and bounds and he is projecting to be a real good asset for 2014. He is maturing at a real fast rate and seems to be much more confident out there. He is playing light outs against a desperate Miami team. This might prove to be one of the better drafts since Mangold and DeBrick.
We'll see. Can't ignore the first 80% of the season where he looked absolutely lost. DM hasn't been thinking and just reacting which is why he looks a lot better lately. Hopefully he can keep the momentum into next pre-season. Think Ed Reed had anything to do with this? Ed Reed's mantra has been to just trust your instinct and react. You're usually correct.
Your bro in law needs to file a supplemental petition for modification if his pay decrease was involuntary. If his original order does not include timesharing he should include a request for that in his modification. If he has the child more than 20% of overnights he would get a credit towards the support amount. Sorry for going off topic but too many dads get taken advantage of because of the other deadbeat dads.
If Cro has all his kids for more than 20% of overnights his house is going to look like a revolving kindergarten.
I just wanna say, Milliner should have been flagged when he didn't turn his head for the 80th time. He got lucky with Wallace clearly falling down. I guess you can say getting lucky is improving but whatever. I want the kid to be great, but you have false hope atm, he needs more time.
Good for the kid he showed a lot of improvements over the final weeks... I was wrong (I think) and I'm excited for 2014 !
Milliner is really good when he's off the receiver. Not sure if that's a Cover-2 guy or a safety but he's really good at that role.
